“Safer With The Lord”
In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O LORD, will keep me safe.Psalm 4:8
Do you feel safe?
Does the condition of our world make you feel unsure about your future?
If you are still alive, it is God who has preserved your life. God has given everyone a certain amount of years to live, so there is nothing outside of His control.
If we are to suffer, it will be for Christ and we give glory to God. It’s important to be obedient to God, because then we stay in His protection. When we are disobedient to God it gives the long awaited opportunity for satan to attack.
When the Lord is on your side, you can trust in him to keep you safe and this causes you to have peace. As a family, we pray for safety everyday and it’s a very important prayer.
We pray protection over our families and the body of Christ. God helps us make decisions that will keep us out of the way of danger, if we heed His instruction.
Have you ever been frustrated because you just couldn’t seem to make it to a certain place?
That may have been God’s way of shielding you from danger. There are many things that God has been protecting us from, that we don’t even know about. When you fear for your safety, pray to God and He will not only protect you, but comfort you by the power of the Holy Spirit living inside of you. In fact the Holy Spirit is the comforter.
If we only depend on the security we can provide for ourselves, we’re in trouble, because we have an invisible enemy, whose weapons against us can only be defeated by our “shield of faith” (Ephesians 6:16), which we have when we put our trust in God. We use God’s word, which is the “sword of the Spirit”
(Ephesians 6:17) and with it, we can demolish strongholds and every lie that satan uses to cause us to fear (2 Corinthians 10:4). Let God give you His peace that surpasses all understanding today. Then, you can rest comfortably at night, knowing He will keep you safe!
We hope today’s devotion has inspired you. We love you guys, and are constantly praying for you. Have a very blessed day.
