Message notes: The Testimony – John 9:24-33

Apart from Jesus we can do nothing. There is no such thing as a “sinner saved by grace” or a “saved sinner”, these are man’s ideas, because a Christian is not a sinner. A sinner is a person who practices sin, but in Christ a Christian is called the righteousness of God.

The bible says this about the sinner:

 Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,

Psalm 1:1-2

The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.

Psalm 15:29

Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

James 4:8

Adversity pursues sinners,

But the righteous will be rewarded with prosperity.

A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children,

And the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.

Proverbs 13:21-22

But transgressors and sinners will be crushed together,

And those who forsake the Lord will come to an end.

Isaiah 1:28

A sinner can do nothing good for God, that will please Him. In fact God doesn’t even hear them until they surrender to Jesus and repent of their sins.

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Savior, then receive Him now. Your citizenship will be in heaven and you will become a child of God.

Romans 10:9-10 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”

SAY this beginning PRAYER:

God I’m a sinner and right now I turn from my sins. I ask you to forgive my sins, that I may be right with you. I believe that Jesus Christ: lived, died and that He rose from the dead. Right now, I ask you Jesus to be my Savior and Lord, that I may have eternal life in heaven. Thank you God for saving me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!
