“Laughter can conceal a heavy heart,
but when the laughter ends, the grief remains.”

Grief is something that is very hard to cover up, but many have tried and failed.  If you cover up your grief, its like put a bucket under a leak in your ceiling.  The bucket will eventually over-flow and the roof will still need to be repaired.

If you wait to deal with the issue too long, that leak will cost you much more, in the long run!  These are not suggestions but examples of expressions of grief in the bible:

Job stood up and tore his robe in grief. Then he shaved his head and fell to the ground to worship.

Job 1:20

When they saw Job from a distance, they scarcely recognized him. Wailing loudly, they tore their robes and threw dust into the air over their heads to show their grief.

Job 2:12

“…weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.

Psalm 30:5

It’s OK to weep and mourn your lost love ones, but don’t let grief take away your hope.  Don’t let it bring you to depression, because as Christians we don’t grieve like the world does. I leave you with these scriptures:

A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance.”

Ecclesiastes 3:4

And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope.

 1 Thessalonians 4:13

We hope today’s devotion has inspired you. We love you guys, and are constantly praying for you. Have a very blessed day.
