A Prayer for our Authorities

For all those who have chosen to stand in the gaps and pray for our nation, being Gods watchmen and women on the wall – It’s time to really get praying.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Isaiah 9:6

Aren’t you glad that Christ even has control over everything that happens in our governments? He carries it ALL on His shoulders, so we don’t have to. And what a burden to carry! All He asks, is that we pray for those in power.

Currently our nation is dealing with presidential controversy, an unstable political and social environment and a very polarized government. Who knows what’s next? Oh the government is upon the shoulders of Christ!

For the kingdom is the Lord’s
And He rules over the nations.
Psalm 22:28

Why are the nations in an uproar
And the peoples devising a vain thing?
Psalm 2:1-2

The wicked will return to Sheol,
Even all the nations who forget God.
Psalm 9:17

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
The people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance.
Psalm 33:12

Lets pray!

Prayer for America

Oh Lord Jesus, I come praying for those in authority that are ruling this nation. You have ordained them to be leaders and it is my job to pray for my leaders as your Word commands.

Father, let our nation not be divided but united in all the ways you originally planned. Lord allow your will to be done, not ours, or those in leadership.

Jesus give our leaders courage and boldness to stand for what is true and right, under God. Give them wisdom to handle all the hardships that come with being a leader and to act and make the right decisions.

Father I pray that you put many Godly advisors around the President and Vice President to assist them. Father I know that you have control no matter who is in authority. But I pray Jesus that I may be faithful, informed, and thoughtful, when praying and talking to others about our politics, and that I always ask your wisdom and righteousness to be evident in our nation’s policies, and leaders. (2Tim2:1-2, Pro11:14, 21:1, Job12:23-25)

If everything happening today seems to scare you -FEAR NOT! Christ came that we might not live in fear, for He has not appointed His people to wrath. If you would like to be a part of the family of Christ, to live in His everlasting peace, joy, power, and love -withhold no longer. Jesus IS coming soon and His reward is with Him.
