Peculiar
Never be afraid to face scary situations in life. If ever there is a time to stand for Christ, it’s now. Having to choose between our faith and this world, choose the Lord every time. You will never regret it. Jesus supplies all of our needs; He tells us to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all those things that we need will be added unto us.
For wealth and riches are in His house, and His righteousness endures forever. Also, The LORD will not allow the righteous to hunger, but He will reject the craving of the wicked. So what have we to fear? (Matt6:33, Ps112:3, Pro10:3)
In fact, Jesus specifically told us not to be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But to fear God, who after you have been killed, has power to throw you into hell. So let’s rise up Christians! (Luke12:4)
In Daniel 3, Shadrach, Meshach, and a Abendego, stood their ground before the king saying, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not worried about what will happen to us. If we are thrown into the flaming furnace, our God is able to deliver us; and he will deliver us out of your hand, Your Majesty. But if he doesn’t, please understand, sir, that even then we will never under any circumstance serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have erected.” In the end, the king blessed the Lord, decreeing to kill those who wouldn’t. (Dan3:16-18)
What great faith these men had. If we were put to the test would we pass? Just think, our test doesn’t have to be an actual furnace of fire, it could be standing up for Christ at work, telling our neighbors about Him, or the people in line with us.
Let us be peculiar for Christ, being BOLD, FEARLESS.
Think about what God told his people Israel through the prophet Isaiah,
But now the Lord who created you, O Israel, says: Don’t be afraid, for I have ransomed you; I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up—the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, your Savior, the Holy One of Israel. I gave Egypt and Ethiopia and Seba to Cyrus in exchange for your freedom, as your ransom. Others died that you might live; I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me and honored, and I love you.”
Isaiah 43:1-4
How much more the love God has for all of us, giving his ONLY BEGOTTEN SON to die for us all? God’s son was our ransom. Oh praise you forever Father, yes I will declare your name to the nations. I will use my gift to write for you. Use me oh Lord! (John3:16)
So as the world watches, I am a peculiar fool for Christ!
My God sings over me! (Zeph3:17)
My God prays for me, and the devil can’t touch me. (John 17:20-23, 1John5:18)
Amen.
Salvation Plan
Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:
God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
