The Battle Isn’t Yours -Our Secret Army

¹⁴ Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. ¹⁵ For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.^[a] 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.^[b] 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

¹⁸ Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.^[c]

Ephesians 6:14-18

God’s Protection

I thank God for His protection every day. 

It only takes a second for things to change, especially when you have children. 

And we are the children of the Highest God; there are things that Christ has protected us from since birth, that’s never happened, and we’ll never know.

We are in a war against the enemy and in a war, there are battles.

How many of us are in a battle today: of your mind, body, soul, finances, family, marriage, children, et cetera?

When Christ is first in our lives the battle is NOT ours!

The Lord will not allow the enemy to overpower us, and it isn’t people we wrestle against; this battle is SPIRITUAL!

Things are never as they seem, especially in todays world. Once something happens, big or small, it is spun and spun to create fear, animosity, unrest, hate, chaos, you name it! And this is all the doing of the anti-Christ spirit in our world.

As Christians, we must resist it. For the world, there is no hope without Christ.

For this very reason, we must dress ourselves in Gods armor each day.

Don’t fight NAKED.

The armor in Ephesians 6:14-18 protects our front, not our back! Christ has our backs, a God that intercedes (prays) for us and protects us.

Knowing that the battle is not ours, we must realize that no matter what, God’s grace is SUFFICIENT for us. (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Faith, prayer, and praise help us reach Christ, not sheer panic.

When your enemies appear to surround you -PRAY!

Panic is of the world, there is no one to fight their spiritual battles, we in Christ are protected.

When the enemy surrounded Elisha on all sides, he did not panic.

His servant, however, went out to see the enemy encamped around the city. He ran back to Elisha in a panic, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” 

Ever felt completely overwhelmed like this, thinking, “WHAT CAN I DO…!?”

“Don’t be afraid, for our army is bigger than theirs…Lord open his eyes and let him SEE!” Said Elisha, the Lord opened the servant’s eyes so that he saw “horses of fire and chariots of fire EVERYWHERE upon the mountain.”  (2 Kings 6:14-17)

Oh Lord, open our eyes and allow us to see your hand at work! Our battles cannot be fought in the flesh (only by faith, prayer and praise), for they are not ours. 

Lord, you are sufficient to meet any crises that comes upon us, and our prayers open the door for you to help us!  (Ps34:7-9, 103:20)

“A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.”

Psalm 91:7-8

Every time, Christ will confound our enemies making us victorious.

Yes, though a mighty army marches against me, my heart shall know no fear! I am confident that God will save me.  The one thing I want from God, the thing I seek most of all, is the privilege of meditating in His Temple, living in His presence every day of my life, delighting in His incomparable perfections and glory.  There I’ll be when troubles come. He will hide me. He will set me on a high rock. 

Psalms 27:3-5

Amen!

So today, if this Word has spoken to you, and you desire to be under the love and protection of Jesus Christ, WAIT NO LONGER!

Jesus will return soon, and His reward is with Him.

He is not willing that you should perish, but you DO NOT have all the time in the world!

Salvation Plan

Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:

God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
