Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

I was at the park getting prepared to record my message for Live Inspired, but I had a few setbacks. First, it was hard to find the right lighting, so I prayed that God would make a way. I finally found the perfect lighting. Then, I realized my camera battery was low and I prayed again, asking the Lord to help me successfully record this video.

I said in my mind, “Nothing else could possibly go wrong!” So I begin to record. The park wasn’t crowded, so that relieved some anxiety, but all of a sudden I heard voices getting louder and closer, while I was recording. Two older ladies came over engaging in full conversation and stretching after they finished their workout. They had no idea I was recording, but they messed up my recording, or so I thought. Actually, they were an answer to my prayers.

I walked over and politely told the ladies that I was recording a message for our Live Inspired message and they said, “Oh we’re so sorry! What is your message about?” After I explained what we do in our online ministry, they were blessed to hear that more people are spreading the Word of God.

So one of the ladies gave me a word of encouragement and two things that she said stuck with me. She quoted Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Lastly, she said, “Be yourself, because everybody else is taken!” Words of wisdom and the strength to preach are what God sent me through those two ladies. I was able to preach and record with only one bar left on the battery of my camera, and with success!

The Bible says in Colossians 4:2

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

Colossians 4:2

God knew what He was doing. Not every interruption is a disruption, but we have to devote ourselves to prayer, not anxiety, be watchful, and be thankful so that we can have spiritual eyes to see what God is doing. Sometimes God’s answer to our prayers comes in the most unusual way.

Salvation Plan

Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:

God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
