In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; 7rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! 9Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:5-11

He was born into the world so that we could be born again. He fulfilled the righteous requirements of God’s law so that we could be set free from the law. He was rejected so that we could be accepted. He was bruised so that we could be healed. A servant so that we could become children of God.

He went from Bethlehem to Nazareth, from Nazareth to Egypt, from Egypt to Galilee, from Galilee to Jerusalem, and from Jerusalem to Calvary. He was swaddled in a manger at birth, then stretched out on a cross to die.

He is Jesus, who paid for sins He didn’t commit and paid a debt He didn’t owe. Our sins were on our own heads, but Jesus took them upon His own body. We were all lost and far away from God, but because of God’s love, Jesus was forsaken, so that we could be brought near to God. Oh, what a Savior! Isn’t He wonderful! Sing, “Hallelujah Christ is risen!”

Bow Down Before Him

The name of Jesus will be exalted. There is no other God besides Him. No one is like Him. He existed before all things and all things exist because of Him. Be glorified in the heavens! Be glorified in the earth! Be glorified in the temples of our hearts! Jesus be glorified! He says, “I will!”

By Myself I have sworn; truth has gone out from My mouth, a word that will not be revoked: For this reason also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Isaiah45:23, Philippians 2:9-11

Forty days after His resurrection Jesus ascended into heaven (Acts 1:9-12). Before Jesus was crucified, He promised that one day He will return to take us to be where He is (John 14:1-3). A place was prepared for Jesus to be buried (Isaiah 53:9, Matthew 27:57), but Jesus has promised us that He is preparing a place for us to live (John 14:1-3).

Salvation Plan

Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:

God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
