Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Be Transformed
The truth is that we all follow someone else’s example. The clothes we wear, the food we eat, the products we buy, and the people we follow on social media. There’s nothing wrong with following someone else’s example, but the Bible commands us to follow the right example. In fact, in 1 Corinthians 11:1, Paul tells us,
“Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.”

What is a Christian?
Christians are supposed to follow Christ and that is exactly what “Christian” means – a follower of Christ. Some people say, “I don’t want to be called a Christian!” They say that because they feel Christians give Christianity a bad name. In some sense that’s true, but again it’s impossible to follow Christ and not be a Christian.
Our speech, behavior, compassion, giving, preaching, the way we raise our kids, and the things we believe and practice, all of these things set us apart from the world when we follow what God’s Word teaches. God’s word is literally able to transform who you are as a person, from your actions to even the clothes you wear, but you have to change the way you think and accept what God says rather than what the world says.
It’s Time!
It’s time to live a transformed life and that begins in your mind. It begins with the decisions you make and the people you associate with. What kind of friends do you have? Has your example been able to change the people that you call friends, or have they influenced you to compromise in certain areas of your faith, just to make it easier for them to hang out with you?
As you make up your mind to choose to follow Christ in every area of your life, you will be able to test every idea, trend, person, church, friend, school, politician, intention, deal, and decision. God will teach you His good, pleasing, and perfect will. So don’t compromise. Live a transformed life.
Lastly, Paul says,
“And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.”
Romans 13:11 NIV
Salvation Plan
Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:
God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
