If you are looking for something new to add to your Bible Study homeschool curriculum, look here!
This month’s unit study will take you and your family on an adventure through the Gospel of Matthew. Every day you study as a family, you will be directed with helpful family discussion topics and assignments for not only your younger children, but teenagers too!
The Gospel of Matthew was written for Jews, by a Jew, its design presents Jesus Christ as the King of The Jews, the long-awaited Messiah. Matthew’s genealogy, baptism, messages, and miracles, all point to Jesus Christ as King.
Christs death is turned into victory when He is Resurrected, echoing the message that the King of the Jews LIVES.
This is what Matthew is all about, and it is worth diving into with your kids!
Not only that, there is no time like the present to teach your children the meaning of the Beatitudes.
A Refreshment, or something BETTER!
These assignments were especially crafted to be done anytime of day, allowing you to have Bible study with your entire family, not Sunday school at home. Some of the images were even created by our daughters, during art class! Here is a preview book below, click the picture!:
The Gospel of Matthew Unit Study also has individual pages you can purchase, for certain chapters if you desire to only do specific chapters. You can also purchase the entire unit, which offers the entire book, plus “The Plan,” which helps you spiritually direct your family into effective Bible studying. Tips are also given on assignments and assignment timing.
We know you will enjoy it, just as we have.

We also have more Bible Study curriculum to add to your classroom, and much more are in the process of being created. You can’t beat the prices for these mini studies! See more below.
All of our Bible Unit Studies are free on the Family Bible Study Membership, offering you a years’ worth of curriculum and anything newly created, for a year!
Nothing Boring About It!
We know how some Bible unit studies and Bible curriculums, can have tons of instructions and things you have to say, word…for…word. That can get boring fast. I have lived through it!
Working for my Pastors in a Facebook group, I was inspired to create a family friendly curriculum, that parents can do anytime with their kids; without the whole Sunday school set up.
These lessons go along with our Focus on The Family: Family Bible Study section, that encourages families to come together and study. If you have not seen it, check it out today!
We will be creating tons more stuff along with our other unit studies we are working on, so get ready and stay updated!
Till next time, blessings!

At Iconium Paul and Barnabas went as usual into the Jewish synagogue. There they spoke so effectively that a great number of Jews and Greeks believed. But the Jews who refused to believe stirred up the other Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brothers. So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking BOLDLY for the Lord, who confirmed the message of His grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders. The people of the city were divided; some sided with the Jews, others with the apostles. There was a plot afoot among both Gentiles and Jews, together with their leaders, to mistreat them and stone them.
Acts 14:1-5
Everyone heard the word of the Lord. Some of them answered the call of God, but the others were STIRRED UP against it. The question today is: whose voice are you listening to?
There are many voices in this world that can influence people. Since many Christians don’t read their bibles consistently, they tend to believe things that go contrary to the word of God, and are quicker to compromise on fundamental issues that face our society today. Today, many people claim to be Christians, but their worldview is in conflict of their profession.
Some believe in “certain” types of abortion, are on the fence about homosexual lifestyles, and simply friendly with certain kinds of sin.
When the Holy Spirit gets a hold on you and dwells in you, you cannot live comfortably in sin, nor will you be willing to support anything sinful. Nobody’s perfect! True, but when you are in Christ you are set apart and made new. We cannot LIVE in sin any longer.
Let’s be real
if you listen to the voices of this world and neglect the voice of God -how will you be influenced? You will begin to get STIRRED UP and poisoned against the word of God. The deceitfulness of sin, the comfort of routine, and the pleasures of life will begin to steer you away from God’s purpose and His plan. Other people who are disciplining themselves will cause you to become embittered against them, because of the light that is exposing the darkness in your life.
“If the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness?”- Jesus.
How are you being STIRRED UP?
Are you being stirred up in a negative way, listening to Wendy Williams, the talk, the view, CBS just to name a few? Or, rather are you being STIRRED UP in the word of God, allowing the Holy Spirit to fill you up in such a way that you won’t allow the voices and ideas of this world to poison your mind?
Don’t be persuaded to reject God’s word as evil. Don’t be intimidated by those who heap abuse at your faith – you stand on the foundations of your faith in the face of opposition. But, if you don’t know what the bible says, then you have no foundation to stand on. Study the bible to show yourself approved. As Christians we are not called to be pushed back and ran over, nor are we called to fight in the same way that the world does.
“For though we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh. The weapons of our warfare are not the weapons of this world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)
We are called to stand CHRISTIAN, and after having done all to stand, STAND! (Ephesians 6)
Salvation Plan
If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Savior, then receive Him now. You citizenship will be in heaven and you will become a child of God.
Romans 10:9-10 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”
SAY this beginning PRAYER:
God I’m a sinner and right now I turn from my sins. I ask you to forgive my sins, that I may be right with you. I believe that Jesus Christ: lived, died and that He rose from the dead. Right now, I ask you Jesus to be my Savior and Lord, that I may have eternal life in heaven. Thank you God for saving me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!
We hope you enjoyed this devotion!

A Magnificent Plan, it was!
Its what God had in mind all along, to bruise HIM and fill HIM with grief.
THE PLAN:
That Christ give himself as an offering for our filthy sins, so that He’d see life come from it; a multitude of children- heirs!
For Christ DIED Once for ALL SINS, wanting to bring us safely home to God. And though His body died, His spirit lives on, and Gods plan will deeply prosper through Him. 1 peter 3:18
Who would have thought Gods saving power would look like this?
We never saw it coming; we searched for a handsome king on a white horse, ROYALTY, we thought.
But what good could come out of Nazareth? John 1:46
Yet, when Christ sees what’s accomplished by the anguish of His soul, He WILL be satisfied!
Because of His experience on the cross, He has counted YOU and ME righteous before Him, God.
An extravagant reward, the best of everything, and highest honor to Christ!
Because He looked death in the face and didn’t flinch, yes He embraced the company of the lowest.
Christ took on His shoulders the sins of us all.
He took up the cause of the “black sheep,” taking the title away from us.
Yes! Hooray! We are free to live RIGHTEOUSLY through Him.
“For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world…” He said. John 18:37
Immanuel
God is truly with us! Matt 1:23
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the GOVERNMENT will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called WONDERFUL, COUNSLOR, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, PRINCE OF PEACE. Isaiah 9:6
Yes, it was JESUS CHRIST. Isaiah 53 MSG, TLB
Merry Christmas everyone, and Happy New Years!
I pray this series has truly blessed you and helped you to see the reason for Christmas. It’s so easy to get lost in the hype of things: shopping, décor, sweets!
Truth is, Christ birth was part of a large plan to save us.
Christ has given us salvation. He does not force this truly wonderful free gift on us -no, this gift is your CHOICE.
There are so many things that we are willing to do in life that makes no sense. Yet, coming to Christ is the only thing that truly does. Can you imagine freedom and TRUE happiness?
Salvation Plan
If you are ready say this starting prayer: confess it with your mouth and believe it with your heart.
Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins and rose to give me life. Right now Lord, I turn from my sins opening my heart and life for You to come in. I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus name, Amen. (Romans 10:9)

He was beaten, He was tortured.
“Where are you from?” The judge demanded, but He didn’t say a word. John19:9
Like a lamb taken to be slaughtered and a sheep being sheared, Jesus took it all in silence.
“Charges?” The judge demands from us, Christ’s OWN people.
Well, “If He were not an evildoer, we would not have delivered Him up to you.” Spoke the lie from our mouth. John 19:29-30
Justice miscarried
Justice miscarried, and He was led off; did anyone of us really know what was happening?
Ha! “He was so good at helping others,” we scoffed at Him, “Let’s see Him save Himself IF He is really God’s chosen One, the MESSIAH.” Luke23:35
So He DIED, without a thought for His own welfare, beaten bloody FOR the sins of US ALL.
Yet, loving us till the end, He prayed:
“Father, forgive THESE PEOPLE, for they don’t know what they are doing.”
For there was no greater love
than that He laid down His life for His friends, us! Luke 23:34, John 15:13
Trusting, yes trusting God, yet being God Himself, He spoke with His last breath -arms spread out wide on the cross:
“Father, I COMMIT my spirit to you…It is FINSIHED.”
Luke23:46, John19:30
Guilty
Yes, guilty some of us felt afterward.
Bullies we were, this man never hurt a soul, or said one WORD that wasn’t TRUE.
He’s gone forever, we thought; so we buried Him like a criminal, but in a rich man’s grave…….
Isaiah 53 MSG,TLB
Why didn’t He save Himself?
You might ask, “Why didn’t He save Himself?” Christ did not come into the world to save Himself, but YOU and I.
“Don’t you realize that I could ask my Father for thousands of angels to protect us, and He would send them instantly? But if I did, how would the Scriptures be fulfilled that describe what is happening now?”
For God SO loved the WORLD that He gave His ONLY begotten son, that WHOEVER believes in Him would not die, but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.” John 3:16-17
This grace God gives is for you and I to obtain through faith and a personal relationship with Him. Christ has paid every sin we have to bear on the cross, THERE IS NO CONDEMATION for those IN Christ. But without Him, your sins are yours and you stand condemned on the day of judgement. Romans 8:1
Salvation Plan
Will you accept what God has given you today? If you are ready, say this starting prayer: confess it with your mouth and believe it with your heart.

Who could believe a story like this?
There was man -a scraggy seedling, but tender and green like a beautiful plant, growing from hard and parched ground. At least, that’s how God saw Him.
There was nothing attractive about Him, nothing to cause us to take a second look.
Like an outcast in society, He was looked down on, passed over; a man of MANY sorrows, acquainted with the bitterest of grief.
“Beat Him up in our own alleys, strike His back 39x with a cat of nine tails!”
We turned our backs on Him.
Here He comes -look the other way!
Like the worst of bullies, we mocked Him, “Here, your crown of thorns, ‘All hail the King of the Jews!’”
Then we slapped the mess out of Him – “Kill Him!” Our voices echoed. (John14:1-3,6)
Who knew He was bearing our grief, that our sorrows are what weighed Him down, our disfigurement, ALL things wrong with us?
Ha! We assumed His troubles were a punishment from God, for His own failure.
The truth?
Yes, give me the truth.
Actually, this man was wounded; ripped and torn for our sins. Yes, even bruised and crushed for your sins.
We’ve done wrong before God! He was not pleased with how we strayed from Him like sheep, going our own way, living “YOLO”.
This man we bullied, came that though we beat Him harshly, His bruises is what heals us.
Yes, God piled our sins, everything you and I did wrong on Him: yes, on Him.
“Guilty!” Is what the judge charged us with.
My head low. “That’s it, I’m doomed; to hell I go.”
“No!” Jesus shouted for ME, for YOU. I will take the guilt. Punish Me.
Alright then, “CRUCIFY HIM!” we yelled, yes, “Crucify Him!” John19:6
Let the unrighteous, fornicator, idolater, adulterer, homosexual, sodimite, thief, covetous, drunkard, slanderous, and robber go –Barabbas! 1Corinthians6:9-11
Set free, we were -a guiltless man, for a guilty WORLD: Jesus Christ.
Amen.
The burdens of this world are heavy, yet, Christ took it all to the cross, so that we might be set FREE. He has never been willing that any should perish, but that ALL should come into the knowledge of Him.
Salvation Plan
Today, salvation is yours when you open your heart to Him; ALL your sins are washed away by His blood. Will you let Christ in and celebrate the TRUE meaning of Christmas?
If you are ready, say this starting prayer: confess it with your mouth and believe it with your heart.
Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins and rose to give me life. Right now Lord, I turn from my sins opening my heart and life for You to come in. I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus name, Amen.
