Today’s Devotion

“Safer With The Lord”

In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O LORD, will keep me safe.

Psalm 4:8

Do you feel safe?

Does the condition of our world make you feel unsure about your future?

If you are still alive, it is God who has preserved your life. God has given everyone a certain amount of years to live, so there is nothing outside of His control.

If we are to suffer, it will be for Christ and we give glory to God. It’s important to be obedient to God, because then we stay in His protection. When we are disobedient to God it gives the long awaited opportunity for satan to attack.

When the Lord is on your side, you can trust in him to keep you safe and this causes you to have peace. As a family, we pray for safety everyday and it’s a very important prayer.

We pray protection over our families and the body of Christ. God helps us make decisions that will keep us out of the way of danger, if we heed His instruction.

Have you ever been frustrated because you just couldn’t seem to make it to a certain place?

That may have been God’s way of shielding you from danger. There are many things that God has been protecting us from, that we don’t even know about. When you fear for your safety, pray to God and He will not only protect you, but comfort you by the power of the Holy Spirit living inside of you. In fact the Holy Spirit is the comforter.

If we only depend on the security we can provide for ourselves, were in trouble, because we have an invisible enemy, whose weapons against us can only be defeated by our “shield of faith” (Ephesians 6:16), which we have when we put our trust in God. We use God’s word, which is the “sword of the Spirit”

(Ephesians 6:17) and with it, we can demolish strongholds and every lie that satan uses to cause us to fear (2 Corinthians 10:4). Let God give you His peace that surpasses all understanding today. Then, you can rest comfortably at night, knowing He will keep you safe!

We hope today’s devotion has inspired you. We love you guys, and are constantly praying for you. Have a very blessed day.

Love,

Randomnestfamily

Not Worthy

I’ve heard so many people say that they feel unworthy.

They say, “I’m trying to grasp for air, to keep my head above water.”

“I just feel so empty inside.”

One thing I’ve come to learn, is that Satan loves mind games.

He loves sending his minions to whisper into your ears, about all your imperfections.

He looks for your weakest moment, your most vulnerable times and attacks.

“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil Prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”

1 Peter 5:8

If you do not pray or study God’s word, if you do not spend time with Jesus, you open yourself up to be attacked.

By ourselves we are unworthy, but because of what Christ Jesus did on the cross for us, he has made us worthy.

we were bought at a price:

For God so love the world that he gave his only begotten son That whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”

John 316

You are worthy because Christ made you worthy.

He loves you, yes you; who may feel as if you have and are failing him.

Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.
For I am the Lord your God the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.”

Isaiah 43:1

Don’t play the mind game with satan, cast those thoughts aside and remember, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6)

Know that you are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10)

Are you ready to know Jesus today?

Here is a starting prayer for you, confess it with your mouth, and believe it with your heart.

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins and rose on the third day to give me LIFE.

Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins opening my heart and life for You to come in.

I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me.

Amen.

I hope you enjoyed this blog. God bless you.

We love you,

The Back-To-School Craze

This title is funny, because really, there is no back-to-school craze. As far as shopping goes. Many parents are trying to decide what to do about their kids and school.

Many school districts are doing crazed schedules, where kids will be subject to even more monitor time, and not enough time being a kid.

Have you considered homeschooling?

Right now, is the time to consider this option to give your children a strong start and a better choice.

I wrote a very nice blog post on Reasons To Homeschool And Love It. If you have decided on how you are going to approach school this year, then, it’s time to plan a school routine. Use my Back-To-School weekly printable, or my Sticky Note It Weekly Plans. I describe exactly how to use those in the description.

If you are homeschooling, this process will be a little bit simpler, depending on your kids, and how you took to the summer.

Recently, we took a trip to our local Walmart, and was very surprised to find boxes and boxes of school supplies out, no one buying them, and the sales were RIDICULOUS.

I didn’t go there to get school supply, however, being the very frugal mom that I am, I had to get in on these deals, so no, this blog post isnt sponsored yet!

When you homeschool, you are very careful when it comes to expenses.

We don’t get funding from the government, and our school type is considered private. Yet, homeschooling is not out of the question for single income, or low-income families.

There are many ways to homeschool, and our textbook is the library: in person, or online!

I will create a tutorial soon, with the many different homeschool resources free to us.

However, when it comes to gear: notebooks, paper, pencils, pens, etc. We need to find GOOD deals.

I’ve been looking around online, and while there seems to be good deals here and there, none so good as the items I found at Walmart.

The best part, no shipping fees! Yes! I was so happy to get everything I needed right away, and because many parents are so unsure about the school year, the aisle were practically empty.

For those moms needing ideas on what to buy for their homeschool classroom essentials, I included my essential list in my free BACK TO SCHOOL printables.

Using these printables will get you ready for school, or homeschooling.

First, use the BACK TO SCHOOL checklist to write everything you will need to start homeschooling.

Next, determine what type of curriculum your student(s) will be learning.

Personally, I like to use unit studies to school my girls now, I use Evan Moor books to supplement. You can also build an entire awesome curriculum just using his books alone!

Evan Moor Books and Learning Materials
School Supplies Hot List

I told you homeschooling can be EASY! There is so much to get into, with this being said, and it’s discussed more in detail in my homeschool options explained and my educational approaches to homeschool tutorials.

After you determine what type of curricula you will be using this school year, write it down on another checklist within that packet.

This will make it easier for you to plan, and to see what each subject will require.

Next, set out your budget.

Every year, we budget around two to three thousand dollars, dedicated to homeschooling. You might think, “That’s a whole lotta money!” But, if you think about it, I have four students, and we homeschool under an umbrella school, Star Homeschool Academy, costing us as little as $580 a year for four students. You DO NOT need to use an umbrella school to homeschool, so this expense is subject to the family needs.

This is discussed more in detail, in my homeschool options explained tutorial.

Our budget includes that price, the price of curricula, and school supplies, and any field trips we want to save for.

Again, these things are subject to your family needs.

We OVER BUDGET school, so that we can have extra in the end, for any books or book series we want to buy, and usually there is a huge conference at our church. So over budgeting allows us to save for any expenses that might occur with our girls doing events, buying T-Shirts, and fairs. Anything of that sort.

Alright, so now, let me show you what I got for back to school, I took to my editor to help me organize these photos for you!

Basic essentials!

There is no way you can leave anywhere without these. Writing and coloring is essential, even to adults!

These supplies can last you more than a year if you stock up at these prices. Use these post-its on my BACK-TO-SCHOOL sticky note it printable.

Back TO School Printables

It would be ridiculous if I told you how many highlighters we go through!

Because we all love to annotate our Bibles, and highlight, these go fast. For those large packs at this price, yes!

If you love notebooking, then these notebooks will be a prized possession in your homeschool!

Yes and Amen!

I hope you have enjoyed this homeschool blog. Thank you for visiting us today, God bless you!

Love,

Today’s Devotion

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”

Matthew 5:9

What is a peacemaker?

Someone who is actively seeking to reconcile people to God and to one another.

Jesus wants us to be peacemakers, that means living peacefully among all people with all that is within us.

Today’s society makes this very difficult indeed, but it is not beyond us. If we do our best, then we can’t go wrong, and if we succeed, we shall be called sons of God.

I love how a Rick Ezell, from Lifeway put it:

“Peacemaking is not the Absence of conflict. Peace in the Bible is never to be confused with pacifism.

Avoidance of strife. Never are we instructed to run from conflict. Putting our head in the sand, hoping that the conflict will end, only delays the inevitable.

Appeasement of parties. The “peace at any price” mentality is far from biblical command. I have discovered that you can never make everyone happy all the time.

Accommodation of issues.

The person who glosses over the problems, acting as if everything is alright when it is not is not a peacemaker.

Amen.

We hope today’s devotion has inspired you. We love you guys, and are constantly praying for you. Have a very blessed day.

“The Testimony of A Blind Beggar”

A powerful testimony from the most unlikely messenger.

The song “Amazing Grace” can not be sung without this man’s words.

The “blind beggar” received his sight, so that people throughout history would be able to see. When you go beyond the surface of his story in John chapter 9, there’s more to it than what meets the eye. Let his testimony inspire you today.

Watch the video below, and listen as I dig deeper into this account.

Scriptures:

John 9

Today’s Devotion

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”

Matthew 5:6

Jesus promises us that if we hunger and thirst for righteousness, He will fill us.

What is righteousness?

Acting in accord with divine law; free from guilt or sin; morally right or justifiable.

Jesus say’s we will be filled with righteousness, not our own righteousness;

“All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away. Isiah 64:6

We need the righteousness that only Jesus can give us, that He died for us to have.

We thirst for His Word, and to live according to His will.

We hope today’s devotion has inspired you. We love you guys, and are constantly praying for you. Have a very blessed day.

Love,

Today’s Devotion

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”

Matthew 5:4

So many of us have had to face many hardships, and much of us have had to endure deaths of loved ones, and friends.

Although times might be and seem hard right now, Jesus promises us a blessing in it.

We must trust, that, no matter what, Christ’s plan is bigger than our own, weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. (Psalm 30:5)

When devastation or sadness hits us, we are comforted by Christ.

We hope today’s devotion has inspired you. We love you guys, and are constantly praying for you. Have a very blessed day.

#BabySharkChallenge

Ever since this challenge went viral, my husband has been obsessed with doing it.

The girls just happen to love the baby shark song, and I must say it is VERY addictive.

Once you start singing it, you never stop, I can almost guarantee that. It also depends on how much mind power you have.

This started because I had been loaded down with so many life event videos, that we decided that I would take a break and do some website work, answering more of your emails, and Instagram questions.

This week, the twins, Ryah and Ronnie, turn nine years old.

So you can see why I needed a break. They want just as nice a video as I gave their siblings, and they have been hanging over my shoulder to see when I am going to start theirs, lol!

This was a nice break, I love creating YouTube videos and although each one takes time, doing a little editing a day, really helps.

A typical video is about 16 hrs total spread out, give or take.

Ryan, enjoyed doing this vlog, many times I caught him laughing to himself, sometimes hysterically.

I believe he was probably enjoying the fact that my parents did the #babysharkchallege too.

He might not survive that, once my parents see how it actually came out, LOL! I am laughing too hard right now!

However, this vlog is crazy funny, from the actual #babysharkchallenge, which is viral on Youtube, to the funny outtakes, he added. You will definitely enjoy yourself, let us know below!

I hope you guys have enjoyed our family vlog. Don’t forget to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE when visiting us on youtube.

We Love you,

Randomnestfamily

P.S. You might have heard me giving the girls DUM DUMs, which are tiny little lollipops.

This was ABSOLUTELY necessary when you have youngsters practicing and dancing for two hours with their dad, LOL.

I hope you noticed how Faith was not really participating, she is strong willed, and when she doesn’t want to do something, she will not do it, LOL!

Today’s Devotion

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Matthew 5:13-16

This is a challenge to live only for God.

The disaster of this world has changed many Christians. Many are falling away from the faith, and many have slipped away.

Jesus says, “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.” (Matthew 24:12-13)

The battle and the war is not over until Jesus calls us up to Him. So why are many giving up already?

We have been challenged!

Jesus calls us the “salt of the earth,” the “light of the world.” We are not to lose our saltiness, or we are worthless, and our lights are never to be hidden, but to shine bright for ALL the world to see Christ in us.

We hope today’s devotion has inspired you. We love you guys, and are constantly praying for you. Have a very blessed day.

Love,

Randomnestfamily

Do Not Be Silent!

Do not be silent, people of God.

Do not let them silence you, STAND firm, with your feet PLANTED in the Word of God.

Take up the armor the Lord has established for us and go to battle!

Our sword is the Word of God, which cannot be shut up or quenched.

So, open your mouths boldly making known the mystery of the gospel, for which we are “ambassadors” in Christ. (Eph 6:14-20)

Do not be silent, people of God.

We have been given the keys to defeat the enemy, for this is not a battle against people. We battle against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual hosts of wickedness. (Eph 6:14-20)

We are the salt of the earth, the light of the world; hinderers of lawlessness, we are called to stand in the gaps praying. (Matt 5:13-16, 2 Thess 2:7, Eze 22:30-31)

Do not be silent people of God.

“No man shall be able to stand against you all the days of your life; I will be with you. I will not leave you, nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage… Only be strong and VERY courageous…”

Josh 1:5-7

Do not be silent O people of God.

“Today you are going to battle against your enemies. Don’t waiver in resolve. Don’t fear. Don’t hesitate. Don’t panic. God, your God is right there with you, to fight for you, against your ENEMIES, to give you VICTORY.”

Duet 20:3-4

Do not be silent O people of God!

We cannot allow evil to prevail, AWAKEN!

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor…In the time of My favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.  Indeed, the RIGHT time is now. Today is the day of SALVATION.”

Luke 4:18-19, 2 Cor 6:2

Today, if you have felt the call of the Lord on your life, COME. Those who reject Christ, face an ETERNITY apart from His presence. Hell. You are living in the Lords favor, and salvation is available to you by God’s grace through faith in Him: when you repent and believe in Christ Jesus, His death and resurrection.

If you are ready, say this starting prayer: confess it with your mouth and believe it with your heart.

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins and rose to give me life. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins opening my heart and life for You to come in. I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.

Now, if possible, get to your nearest Bible preaching church and receive the support you need.
