“God is Able” | Dr. Charles Stanley Tuesdays

How do you think about obstacles? Do you believe that God is able to do anything? Well Dr. Charles Stanley is here to tell you why we need to believe that God is capable of meeting our needs, even when things seem impossible.

He’s Able!

If you have not received Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, then do it now, and you will be a child of God and your citizenship will be in heaven with Jesus Christ!

Romans 10:9-10 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”

SAY this beginning PRAYER:

God I’m a sinner and right now I turn from my sins. I ask you to forgive my sins, that I may be right with you. I believe that Jesus Christ: lived, died and that He rose from the dead. Right now, I ask you Jesus to be my Savior and Lord, that I may have eternal life in heaven. Thank you God for saving me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!

We hope this video INSPIRED you. Every Sunday, there is an Inspiration message just for you! Don’t forget to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE when visiting us on youtube.

A Sword or Peace? Part 1

22 Immediately after this, Jesus insisted that his disciples get back into the boat and cross to the other side of the lake, while he sent the people home. 23 After sending them home, he went up into the hills by himself to pray. Night fell while he was there alone.24 Meanwhile, the disciples were in trouble far away from land, for a strong wind had risen, and they were fighting heavy waves.

There are different periods in our lives, when God allows a calmness to rest on us and we enjoy His peace, but other times, He has us get on a boat, in the middle of the sea and all of a sudden a storm comes and upsets our situation and it makes us wonder, “where did this come from?”.

Jesus knew this was going to happen, but God is all about shaking things up. Why? Because otherwise our faith would begin to settle and become stale and stagnant, then we would be like salt without season.  No, God does not withhold every affliction from us.

The righteous person faces many troubles,
but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.

Psalm 34:19

Have you ever made a protein shake without mixing the powder with water or milk, or threw a pack of ground meat on a skillet without breaking it up and adding some kind of seasoning to it.  Just like the protein shake and the ground meat won’t become what it was meant to be, unless certain things happen. You will not be the Christian you’re supposed to be, if God doesn’t stir you up.  You don’t need peace if there is no unrest and when we need peace, we call on Jesus.

But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here!”

Matthew 14:27

If you have not received Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, then do it now, and you will be a child of God and your citizenship will be in heaven with Jesus Christ!

Romans 10:9-10 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”

We hope today’s devotion has inspired you. We love you guys, and are constantly praying for you. Have a very blessed day.

How To Homeschool Practically Free

How To homeschool practically free at randomnestfamily.org

Problem:

Homeschooling can be expensive when you opt for big popular textbooks. I showed How to Build Your Own Homeschool Curriculum, but what if you are REALLY low in money?

Maybe you have more than two kids or four, even seven. How can everyone learn without costing you hundreds or thousands of dollars and ALL your time?

Let’s get started!

The first thing you want to do, is get subscribed to a homeschool website like this one. This is where you can get free information to help you and encourage you in your homeschool process.

Another benefit of being subscribed to a site like this free printables and downloads, to things you want, and don’t have to hunt down, like schedules, unit study planners, ideas, etc.  Bonus, if there is a forum where homeschool parents can share ideas and experiences, PERFECT.

Solution #1

Use your Library!

Anything you need can be found at your local library no matter where you live. Whether online or in person, a library is an homeschool parents’ best friend.

Make sure you have active library cards, because then you can login online to your library and access their many resources: printables, books, posters, printouts, etc.

Libraries in your area will have services for adults and children. They are full of listing where you can find homeschool resources, and free sites.

Most are still offering WIFI still in approved city sites.  I found this on a local Library site.

Libraries are full of resources found in a textbook, but better! There is no textbook information that can’t be found in your library.

You can try a search for your library here and see what they have to offer.

Solution #2

Use online resources.

I use YouTube as one of my video resources. Places like this will contain educators who have a passion to educate, and provide math helps, as well as read aloud books.

There has been times when I was so sick, I could not read to my girls. Thankfully, I have found some good read aloud channels, that share that love.

Here’s a few:

Miss Sofie’s Story Time – Kids Books Read Aloud

Storytime with Tristan

Did you know!?

Pureflix caters to homeschools.

They have a whole list of resources under their “homeschool tab.”

They cover topics under subjects like:

Science

History

Biographies

And so much more. They will even send you weekly emails telling you this weeks line up for each subject. Be sure to check them out and subscribe.

I do NOT recommend Netflix, as they are a part of the child pedophilia ring. Infact, I will be so bold as to say anyone who has them, supports child pedophilia, because they do!

We are in the business of raising healthy, educated children. Our children are NOT for sale!

There are so many other places to get resources from, don’t give them your time or money.

With that being said, a quick online search under “free homeschool resources” will find you so many things. As parents, our number one job is to research. This is why a site like this, that does a lot of these things are so important, they do a LOT of the research for you.

I have a full list of resources on my “homeschool Resources” post, that we add to every week.

Solution #3

Unit studies.

I talked about unit studies a whole lot, and mentioned how you can have success doing this in notebooking.

Unit studies save money and time, yet, you can make them as creative as you want. They also allow you to introduce your children to books and subjects they might not otherwise get in a textbook.

Textbooks briefly discuss subjects. What if your child fell in love with Biology? In a unit study, you are able to expound upon that concept as long as you want, while covering the other major subjects.

Journaling and notebooking pages come in handy during these times, yet a simple notebook can suffice for older kids.

I have downloads listed below, and in the free downloads section. Keep your eyes out for some more free printables, as I like to add new ones every month!

Unit studies requires the uses of solutions #1 and 2.

A really good unit study gives your kids access to things they can both see and touch. Find out more about this here.

Projects and activities added to a unit study can make them FUN! It’s the best part for my girls.

Of course, with all your notebooking and journaling, you will need a place to pre-print your pages, if you use printables.

There is the option to only use notebooks to save money, as they do not cost as much. But if you love using pages like I do, I have listed a few good printing places below that can mass print as little or as many pages as you would like.

The Homeschool Printing Company

Family Nest Printing

If you use places like these, keep your printables safely stored, so that they do not get messed up. When they are completed, use a three-ring binder to show off work.

Binders can be found at Dollar Tree, Walmart, and Amazon.

You can also opt for  ink-subscription from Cannon, HP, or other ink services.

I hope these tips have helped you to see that homeschooling just does not have to be expensive. You can spend less and invest in those subjects your kids love the most.

For my family that is language arts and crafting.

We can spend quite a bit at the Dollar Tree crafting areas.

Special Notice:

I have been babying and putting in a tremendous amount of work to build a “Homeschool My Child” program.

This program will allow parents to homeschool their kids so easily and all they need are the resources. Similar to solutions #1-3 above.

I provide a list of resource options, as well as a list of supplements if wanted.

I cover all homeschool subjects, with a Christian perspective.

Bible

English

Creative Writing

Social Studies/ History

Science.

I give a complete and detailed weekly curriculum, with my own home made an/or found resources provided. Taking the work out of EVERYTHING a homeschooling parent must do. Allowing them to have more time doing things like art, life skills, and other fun things!

Any parent can login, see what they need to do that week, print or download anything they want (I provide all my resources for free, no searching), and teach.

There will be tons of fun projects and research for students K-6 grade.

Anything a parent opts not to do, can be supplemented with their own choices, and I provided a very detailed resource page they can choose from.

It’s going to be fun! Homeschooling made easy.

The best thing is that it is all organized, you don’t need to spend hours at a computer trying to figure what you need to teach over here, or over there, like most free curriculums sites. They are helpful, but it takes work, and tons of patience! I would prefer to use them as a resource instead.

Make sure you are subscribed for the big grand opening. I hope to have it up in a few months or less. Fill out the form below if you are interested as well, so that I can contact you when everything is up and running!

Blessings,

Randomnestfamily

Lift Up Your Head and Straighten Your Back

I received a message for the Christians and Christian leaders. This was something that my wife told me, “Babe you better record a message right now. My wife is my inspiration in getting this message to you today, as well as the Holy Spirit!

The focus of this message is on the current state of our country in the United States, the spiritual fatigue of many churches and leaders, and I also touch on a little politics, but more so, the spiritual forces behind what they do, as well as what us as Christians need to do, in order to combat their tactics.

I truly hope this message encourages you, motivates you, challenges you, and helps you to know that you are not alone in this spiritual battle that we are fighting in our world.

“Why are you so downcast?” Psalm 43:5

If you have not received Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, then do it now, and you will be a child of God and your citizenship will be in heaven with Jesus Christ!

Romans 10:9-10 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”

Motivational Bedroom Update

I remember the days when me and my sisters used to sleep together, while we shared a bedroom.

It was an amazing time and we always told the best of stories. When our girls opted to stay in the same room, of our new house, I was so excited!

So today, we are sharing with you a motivational yet affordable, bedroom update.

This update took us about two full days in total, we had to break it up into sections in order to comply with our work schedules.

One of the most beneficial things of having your girls or boys share a room, is the mirroring effect.

This can either be good or bad, but you as the parent have to make that call. if there is constant fighting and nagging, well, you might not want them to share, for your sanity.

Randomnestfamily.org girls painting a board.
Faith paints a board.

However, my girls get along well, there is still the occasional hiccup, but we instruct them to settle the issues in a sisterly fashion, that does not include yelling and screaming.

How do you deal with, or have dealt with sibling struggles?

In our previous vlog, A Day In Our Summer Life, you were able to steal glances of our almost finished process. So this is just the full procedure.

When we went to Ikea back in June’s vlog called Fitness Goals and Shopping, that’s when we went to Ikea to purchase those shelves you saw us painting.

Below, I have some items that we used to update the girls room, if you are interested in any of them, you can click and buy.

Of course any items purchased from our site might give us a little commission, and that goes towards our homeschool. Thank you in advanced.

If you liked our DIY project bow hanger, I will also leave you some inspiration down below. Now, if you decide to make this, please share a picture with us via email, we would love to post it!

Parmesan Honey BBQ Chicken Wings

These Parmesan honey BBQ chicken wings are a true delight! They are a unique twist on chicken wings that our family devours!

We like simple yet flavorful homemade recipes that are quick to whip up. I don’t want to have to hunt for every ingredient in the world to make a “world famous” wing dish!

It’s worth it to have the ingredients that we list on this recipe, but this is a recipe that can be altered, if necessary.

This recipe was made in our family video log, titled “Quarantine|A Day In The Life|Stay At Home Family,” here.

Faith is one of our biggest critics when it comes to “adult food,” so if she loves it, there’s nothing better! LOL.

Let’s get started!

Parmesan Honey BBQ Chicken Wings

Equipment

  • Large cookie sheet

Ingredients

  • 35 Wings or more
  • 3 tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 4 tbsp Seasoning Salt
  • Cayenne Pepper Sprinkle
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • BBQ Sauce To cover wings
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Lay wings on large cookies sheet and begin to season.
*Here's a tip grab a gallon size Ziploc bag and put the chicken wings inside, then mix seasonings together, add into the bag and shake, until wings are covered. Then, lay wings on the cookie sheet.
  • Place the cookie sheet in the oven for 20 minutes.
  • Take the wings out of the oven and increase the temperature to 425°F.
  • Drizzle honey over the wings, cover wings with BBQ sauce, and layer wings with Parmesan cheese.
  • Place wings back in the oven for an additional 10 minutes, or until sauce has just began to bubble, then remove them from the oven.
  • Let cool for a few minutes and enjoy!

Notes

Calories will depend on how many wings you eat.
Wings typically have lots of calories for the little bit of meat you get.
So the serving size is based on three wings. Trust us when we say, you can’t eat just three!

We hope you have enjoyed this recipe, if you loved it, please share.

Be Courageous in a Difficult World

The world is filled with wickedness.

In these times, the Lord requires that we stand firm in our faith, be planted in it.

We cannot let the world dictate what we believe, or what parts of the Bible we believe.

We are commanded to not let Gods Word depart from us, but to meditate in it day and night.

Exercising “daily in God—no spiritual flabbiness, please! Workouts in the gymnasium are useful, but a disciplined life in God is far more so, making us fit both today and forever. We can count on this. Take it to heart.” And when we do, the Lord says we shall prosper and have great success.

For He has COMMANDED us to BE STRONG and COURAGEOUS, and He is with us wherever we go. (Joshua 1:8-9, 1 Timothy 4:8-9)

I remember years ago being put to the test in my college philosophy class. The teacher told us from the beginning that he would convince us with much proof, that there is no God, heaven, hell, or spirits.

I can say I had zero friends in that class, and the teacher disliked me from the beginning, as I challenged him when it came to God.

I was not the only one, but when the others tapered out, I was left alone.

I also remember when my now husband, stood against our astronomy teacher when he disapproved of God and His creation, giving all credit to the infamous “big bang theory.” It was courageous and I loved it…so I married him.

However, when God calls us to stand, to be bold and fearless in professing His name, that’s what we are to do (college students have it hard in mainstream schools: pray for them to keep the faith). The world will hate you, but remember it hated Christ first. (John15:18)

Thousands may fall at our side, ten thousand at our right hand, but the Lord will not let anything come near us. For Christ is our light and salvation; to whom should we fear?

The Lord is the strength of our life; of whom should we be afraid? (Psalms 91:7, 27:1)

As for those who come against us, “There is no peace,” says my God, “for the wicked.” So, we will not be afraid, even if the earth is shaken and mountains fall into the sea, even if the waters go wild with storm and the mountains shake -God is our safe place and strength. (Isaiah 57:21, Psalm 46:1-3)

The Lord is our rock…my safe covering, my saving strength, and my strong tower. Because He who promised is faithful, we must hold fast the confession of our “hope” without wavering, standing boldly, sometimes alone. Waiting patiently for the Lord. Doing all He requires of us, being brave and courageous. (Ps18:2, 27:14, Hebrews 10:23)

Yes, wait patiently for the Lord. (Ps27:14)

Amen

Maybe you don’t know Jesus, maybe you just don’t feel courageous, and this world seems to be falling apart.

I want to let you know, that there is HOPE in Jesus Christ. The world and it’s way will pass away, don’t pass away with it.

Let’s pray:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins and rose to give me life. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins opening my heart and life for You to come in. I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.

I hope you enjoyed this blog. God bless you.

2020-2021 Booklist For Kids

Something new, something old!

As promised in my homeschool blog, All-In-One Homeschool Curriculum, I have gathered my books, to show you what we have added to our library for 2020-2021 booklist, school year.

These are EXCELLENT read alouds and some are a few classics to “reintroduce” kids to simplier living.

Again, I’m not talking about the 1800’s. This is still no Little House on The Prairie.

Although I did enjoy those books way-back-when.

I added some creative titles to spark excitement and creativity. I might add more titles later and update the post.

If you liked any of the books I talked about during the video, I have them listed below and a few others I plan to add later. When you click on them, it will take you to the best price that I have found for the book.

All links are affiliate links and we may get a small commission if you purchase from the link. This supports our homeschool.

What books will you be using this year with your students? Tell us below.

Have you heard about our homeschool 101 memberships? You are in for a treat, because we love homeschool here. Check out everything we have to offer!

I hope you have enjoyed this homeschool blog. Thank you for visiting us today, God bless you!

Epic Zero is the laugh-out-loud, action-packed series that will entertain kids, middle school students, and adults. The Epic Zero Collection includes 48 illustrated character profiles and a full glossary of superpowers.

I only like the first 19 books of the Boxcar Children only. The others were written by different authors.

This beloved book by E. B. White, author of Stuart Little and The Trumpet of the Swan, is a classic of children’s literature that is “just about perfect.” This paper-over-board edition includes a foreword by two-time Newbery winning author Kate DiCamillo.

Charlotte’s Web is GREAT for notebooking and journaling. You can also use it to create a unit study. I have posts on both, when you click the links.

Math made simple is a great curriculum planning help. See my post on “How To Build Your Own Homeschool Curriculum,” For ideas!

The Original Magic School Bus Series, is perfect for creating unit studies to, and providing extra resources for you homeschool. The original series is “untainted,” and perfect for all children. You might also consider purchasing the videos, as they add perfect visuals for your students to write reports on. Especially on those days when you are tired, or sick. It is worth the investment!

See my unit Study planning sheets below.

The Tuttle Twins is also a great series that you can create unit studies with!

See my unit Study planning sheets below.

This book is A-MAZING! You will get lots of research details out of it, no matter the grade level. We will be using this for various animal unit studies this year, and our bird unit study here, also below.

“God’s Plans and Our Prayers”

Why do we have to pray, if God already knows what we want? Why do I need to be asked, in order for it to be given? Understand how prayer works and why it’s important, as Dr. Charles Stanley shares his wisdom from the word of God.

Why do we have to pray, if God already knows what we want?

Amen!

If you’re a Christian, has God put His words in your mouth?  What is preventing you from using them?  Jesus said,

“So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. 27What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs.

Matthew 10:26

If God’s words are not in your mouth, then whose are? If we’re not speaking what God is telling us, then what are we saying? These are some of the questions we have to ask ourselves to keep us on track, change our thinking and remember our purpose: to be light in a dark world, to be imitators of God, and to be different than the world. This world is not our home.

We can’t prioritize our life, based on the world’s standards, because Jesus has touched our lives, so we must live to touch other people’s lives.  Proclaim it from the rooftops – the words that God has put in your mouth!

If you have not received Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, then do it now, and you will be a child of God and your citizenship will be in heaven with Jesus Christ!

Will You Not Be Accepted?

Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord. And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.

Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”

Now Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let’s go out to the field.” While they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.

Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?”

“I don’t know,” he replied. “Am I my brother’s keeper?”

10 The Lord said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground. 11 Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.

Genesis 4:2-11

Cain and Abel had two very different jobs, so God wasn’t comparing the two brothers.  The fact is that Able had done good with the offering he made, but Cain had done bad, because he didn’t care about the quality of what he was offering to God.

We can rest assured that God will gladly bless us, when we serve Him with all of our heart, in whatever He calls us to do for Him, but He doesn’t just want any kind of service offered to Him, He wants our best.  Make no mistake, our best can look different, depending on the day, the energy level, our health, time, and resources, but it should not be that we become careless about the way we serve God.

I know when we were going to restaurants, before Covid, we expected to receive quality service from our waiter.  We were paying good money, so we felt we should get our money’s worth, right!  Nevertheless, when we got bad food, we had the plate taken off of our bill, because only the Lord know what some people would do to your food if you ask them to fix your plate.  If, we got bad service, then that waiter would most likely get a small tip, or no tip at all.

Listen Cain’s offering was rejected by God, because he had the resource, energy, time, and ability to give a good offering, but it wasn’t important enough.  To him it was a waste of his time.  He felt like God should be willing to accept whatever he offered to Him, besides it was “Cain’s” hard work that produced the crop, right!

That’s how we think sometimes though!  We continue to give God second best knowing that we can do better a lot of times, but we feel, that effort and time, needs to be allocated to something more important than God.  Sad, but true!  But when we think about this carefully, we should understand that nothing that we have belongs to us.

No abilities, gifts, talents, money, jobs, kids, families, homes, or even life itself belongs to us!  But, see Cain felt like he didn’t have anyone to answer to, so he chose not to care that God rejected his offering and He closed his ears to God.

Some Christians have given up on trying to serve God, because they feel like they’re not accepted anywhere, but God wants you to listen to Him and do His will, not man’s will, not your will, but we have to let go of our past failures.  You have to ask the question: WHY AM I SO ANGRY inside?  The past already happened, you can’t fix that, it’s over, it doesn’t matter anymore and that’s not an excuse to stop offering quality service to God!  You gotta let it go!  Your past does not determine what you do in the present!

This message disciplines me spiritually, because I’ve got to eat this and sometimes our plate is so full, that even though God’s word is like a good slab of ribs, we don’t have room for it, but listen!  If your spiritual “Myplate” does not have God’s word as the main course, then it’s empty and you have to start changing your priorities.

The bible says in verse 6,

Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”

Now Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let’s go out to the field.”[d] While they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.

Genesis 4:6-8

Cain felt that everyone thought Abel was the chosen son and that he was just left-overs.  So, he thought that he would get rid his problems, by getting rid of his brother, to make everyone else feel his pain.  “Misery loves company”!

Some of us as Christians can feel the same way sometimes.  If only I don’t run into sister “so and so”, I won’t be reminded of how better I think she is than me, or as long as I don’t run into brother “such and such”, I won’t remember how inadequate I feel in my faith.  No, seriously we can’t look at what other Christians are doing and covet their praises, their gifts and talents, their calling!

We have to do what God has called us to do and do it well, as to the Lord and we will be accepted by God.  Cain was so busy worrying about the praises that Abel got, that he couldn’t even pay attention to the encouragement that his heavenly father was giving him.  God said, “If you do what is right, will you not be accepted?”

Be responsible with the life and ministry(s), that God has given you and serve Him in the calling on your life that He has called you to.  You cannot be like everybody else.  You must listen to God, offer Him good service, change your thinking according to the word of God and stop trying to live like other people.

God is telling us, “If you do what is right, will you not be accepted?” Cain hated his brother’s success so much, he murdered him.  Our success and the success of our brothers and sisters in Christ, is the success of the kingdom of God, together!  Be encouraged today and I will leave you with this:

On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”

27 He answered, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’ ; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”

28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”

Luke 10:25-28

God bless you all! In Jesus name, Amen!

He Is With Us?

One day Jonathan son of Saul said to his young armor-bearer, “Come, let’s go over to the Philistine outpost on the other side…On each side of the pass that Jonathan intended to cross to reach the Philistine outpost was a cliff; one was called Bozez and the other Seneh. One cliff stood to the north toward Mikmash, the other to the south toward Geba.

Jonathan said to his young armor-bearer, “Come, let’s go over to the outpost of those uncircumcised men. Perhaps the Lord will act in our behalf. Nothing can hinder the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few.”

The Philistines fell before Jonathan, and his armor-bearer followed and killed behind him. 14 In that first attack Jonathan and his armor-bearer killed some twenty men in an area of about half an acre. 15 Then panic struck the whole army—those in the camp and field, and those in the outposts and raiding parties—and the ground shook. It was a panic sent by God.

1 Samuel 14:1, 4-6, 13-15

This battle takes place during one of Israel’s fierce wars with the Philistines, who were out camped against them.

Jonathans attack on the Philistines was not planned out by the Israelite army.

In fact, Jonathan acted on what ever faith he had, a “perhaps the Lord will act in our behalf.”

He acted, knowing that if God is for him, who could be against him?

Jonathan knew it was just him and his young armor bearer, two men, against a huge Philistine army. No one in their “right mind” would consider such a thing, except David.

But his faith in that “perhaps,” made him say, “Nothing can hinder the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few.”

That day, the Lord was with Jonathan in such a supernatural way, that even Jonathan had no clue. God was fighting alongside him, “In that first attack Jonathan and his armor-bearer killed some twenty men in an area of about half an acre.

Then panic struck the whole army—those in the camp and field, and those in the outposts and raiding parties—and the ground shook. It was a panic sent by God.

God sent their enemies into such a great panic that they began to destroy themselves!

Jonathan took that “perhaps,” and walked it out in faith.

Today, will you take your perhaps and walk it out in faith?

If God has given you a mission to walk in, then He has also given you the anointing for it. We must walk in the calling that God has put on our life.

“Be sure that you do all the Lord has told you to.” Colossians 4:17

When we say to ourselves, “well, perhaps God will do this,” then we are telling ourselves, “I know God can, but I don’t know if he will.”

It’s just like when the father went to Jesus, asking Him to heal his son who was demon possessed, he told Jesus, “But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”

“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”

Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

Mark 9:22-24

When we come to Jesus in prayer, we must believe that not only can He do it, but its already in the works!

Way before we even pray to God, He already knows what’s going on. He has already been fighting our battles for us.

Let faith replace the “perhaps” in your life.

Walk out on the faith God has given you. Everyone has their own measure of faith.

Jonathans faith brought victory to Gods people.

Allow the faith He has given you, bring you victory.

Our enemies are already in an uproar, a panic.

As “no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the LORD.” Isaiah 54:17

Amen.

If you are in need of salvation, and you would like to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we invite you today. Whether you believe it or not, this is a spiritual battle. And you do not want to be on the losing side.

Let’s pray:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins and rose to give me life. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins opening my heart and life for You to come in. I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.

We hope today’s devotion has inspired you. We love you guys, and are constantly praying for you. Have a very blessed day.
