“I say to the Lord, ‘You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.”

Those who run after other gods will suffer more and more.

    I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods

    or take up their names on my lips.”

Psalms 16:2,4 NIV

My brother called me out of the blue, telling me he felt like “giving up.”

“It’s a new year,” he said, “I’m still stuck here in the same mess as last year, I feel like I can’t shake these voices, this lifestyle, this doubt. I need you to pray for me.”

This conversation ended with tons of prayer and encouragement, along with an ultimatum in Christ.

How many times have I heard that familiar, “I need you to pray for me,” or “will you pray for me?”

“Sure, I’ll pray for you. I’ve been praying that God will move in your life. That you will have no peace until you come to Jesus. Surrender your life to Him!”

It doesn’t escape our minds when we have an unsaved loved one we’re praying for or have been praying for.

When fasting, we grow closer to God and we desire even more, that our loved ones come to Christ. We know that Jesus will transform their lives.

Giving up is not an option in this life

If we live another day to call “today,” we must give ourselves over to the will of God. We cannot give the enemy dominion over us; we cannot allow him to convince us to give up.

God has given us the ability to take charge of our lives and live it fully within the freedom of Christ. If we don’t depend on Jesus, we will give up, because the world is full of troubles. In Christ, we live life fully in His freedom.

Don’t give up in your prayers today for your loved ones to be saved. Your prayers for your children, your prodigals, your new home; whatever you have been praying and warring for, don’t give up!

I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
    With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;

    my body also will rest secure,

because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,

     nor will you let your faithful one see decay.

You make known to me the path of life;

    you will fill me with joy in your presence,

    with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

Psalms 16:8-11 Niv

Trust God and keep fighting!

Pray:

Father, help me to be strong in you. For your grace is sufficient for me. When I feel like giving up, help me to see that life without You, isn’t worth it. In Jesus name. Amen.

Salvation Plan

Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:

God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
