Resurrection

25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written

John 21:25

We can never stop counting the miracles and blessings of Jesus Christ in our lives. We can’t even mention every single thing that God has done for us, and the truth is, that there are many things that He’s done that we don’t even know about. Things God has protected us from while we were growing up as kids and the “bullets” that we dodged as adults – depending on what age you are. Because God has been protecting us, we are alive today!

Reminders

This was the day after the resurrection and Jesus had already “threw down” on the grill – making fish for breakfast. Jesus reminded the disciples about everything He had done before His death and taught them many other things.

The question is why does God have to remind us? It’s because we sometimes lose sight of what God has done, because there’s more that we desire in life, but when Jesus Christ died on the cross that was more than enough for us. We didn’t even deserve that!

Our God is the God of grace, and that means, that He blesses us even though we didn’t earn the blessings, and He provides for us because He loves us as His children.

Jesus is Still Working

God is not limited to what country you live in, or to what you can bring to the table. He is our Heavenly Father, who richly supplies us with every good thing, if we delight in Him!

These blessings that He gives are not all based on money and material things, either. God knows what we don’t know we need, even before we need it. So therefore, He is intentional about everything He does.

The work of Jesus Christ did not end, when He rose from the dead and ascended to His thrown, but it continued through His apostles and now through His Church – the Body of Christ. We must continue His work and finish it – individually and collectively. Even so, Lord Jesus, come!

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

After saying this, he was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see him. 10 As they strained to see him rising into heaven, two white-robed men suddenly stood among them. 11 “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!”

Acts 1:8-9
