It’s Day 7 of our 25 Days of Christmas Kindness series, which is a part of our Focus on Your Family: Family Bible Study.

Did you know that the name Jesus means “to deliver; to rescue.” This is exactly what Jeus did for us.
“For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves…” Colossians 1:13 NIV
Jesus, Emmanuel, God with us, came down from heaven, born from a virgin to save us. He had mercy on us and knew we were sheep without a Shepard. He became that Shepard. Can you imagine what God left behind when He came down to earth? Born a vulnerable baby; He could’ve of come as a teenager to make things go quickly, but he bore with us for 33 long years.
Today’s challenge is all about giving…again! Yes, it’s better to give than to receive (Acts 20:35), just as Jesus gave to us. This is the message of Christmas, and this is what we want our children to understand…as they search their closets!
Todays act of Christmas Kindness is:
Donate clothes and/or shoes to a local charity who GIVES it away freely to those in need.
Every day until Christmas, there will be an act of Christmas Kindness that you can do with your family and a focus scripture for you to memorize and have your children write down as a memory verse.
Don’t be discouraged if you miss a day, or change it up a bit to suit your family. These acts are made to extend far beyond Christmas. Invite friends and extended family members to join in. Have fun and ENJOY! It’s Christmas time!
