“…according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.”

Philippians 1:20

If you’ve been silent about Jesus, you’ve been doing Christianity wrong. If you think Christianity is a private faith, you’ve been deceived. The devil would love nothing more than to shut your mouth and convince you to keep Jesus to yourself because then you would blend in with all of his children.

Paul’s Confidence

Paul is telling us in this scripture, that being bold and courageous is what he has always done. The reason why is that he understands the importance and purpose of his faith and that is to bring honor and glory to Jesus Christ. Can you testify today that you have been living an unashamed unafraid life for Jesus Christ? Have you made up your mind that the name of Jesus is not a word you avoid in your conversations?

What will we do with our faith?

How can we say that we love God, but we’re afraid to talk about Him? This doesn’t make sense. Jesus is the King of kings and the Lord of lords and He is second to none. In Philippians 1:20, Paul is telling us today, “I am going to give Jesus all I’ve got!” He’s saying, “Just as Jesus gave His body for me, I am giving my body up for Him.”

Starting Now

God wants all of you today! He wants us to be fully committed today. This idea of commitment is becoming more and more scarce. Look at all the relationships of this generation. People want a way out, but with Jesus don’t allow yourself to have a way out. Let your faith in Jesus be the reason why you tell people, “No matter what, I am blessed!”

This is how you should live, starting today.
