AI-Generated Art Policy
We welcome AI-generated artwork as part of our Art & Creativity Showcase. This allows students to explore creativity through technology in a meaningful and innovative way.
✅ Requirements for AI Art Submissions:
- The artwork must be originally created by the student using AI tools
- The student must write and submit their own prompt(s) used to generate the image
- Light editing or refinement by the student is encouraged
- Parents may assist with typing for younger students, but ideas and direction must come from the student
🧠 Student Creativity Statement (Required for AI Entries)
To ensure authenticity, AI submissions must include a short statement:
- What was your idea or inspiration?
- What prompts did you use?
- Did you make any changes after generating the image?
(1–3 sentences is perfect, keep it simple and student-led.)
Additional Judging Considerations for AI Art
When reviewing AI-generated entries, judges will also consider:
- Originality of the idea and prompt
- Student involvement and intentionality
- Creativity in directing the AI tool
- Effort in refining or improving the final result
🚫 Not Allowed
- Images generated entirely by a parent or adult
- Copying prompts directly from the internet without personalization
- Submissions without a student explanation
💡 Encouragement
Technology is a tool, but creativity still comes from the heart and mind of the student. Whether using paint, paper, or AI, what matters most is the thought, effort, and imagination behind the work
🗳️ School Voting
Once approved, entries will be displayed in a virtual gallery/slideshow as they come in. Judging will commence when the final entry is uploaded on the last day for the contest entries.
Families within the academy will vote for their favorite entries via a form.
