4 The Lord gave me this message:

“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.
Before you were born I set you apart
and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”

“O Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I can’t speak for you! I’m too young!”

The Lord replied, “Don’t say, ‘I’m too young,’ for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you.

Jeremiah 1:4-7

Complementary podcast requested by our members to you! Enjoy!

Not only does God have a calling on our life, but he has set us apart before our parents even thought of us.  It’s OK for us to be real with God, when it comes to our inadequacies, because that my friend is when God’s power is made perfect – in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Jeremiah was young and at an age, at that time, where it was not acceptable for the youth to teach the elders, but God specifically called him to do just that, because of the wickedness of the Jewish nation and rulers.  God told him to oppose them!

God is not subject to human rules or traditions, he is able to protect you and direct you, even when you must oppose the immorality of government.  We must obey leaders and authority, as long as they don’t try to force you to disobey what God’s word commands.

God’s calling is not limited by age, appearance, background, or human knowledge.  God says,

…for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you (or do).”  (Emphasis added)

Jeremiah 1:7

We hope today’s devotion has inspired you. We love you guys, and are constantly praying for you. Have a very blessed day.

With God’s Love,

Ryan
