Praise the Lord

“And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; will sing praises to the Lord.”

Psalm 27:6

David was in the midst of uncertainty but he was certain about the Rock of his salvation. He was familiar with trouble and enemies and frienemies and fears. And so he said I know what to do! I’ve been here before. I’m gonna praise God. He said I will sing. He said yes I will sing praises unto the Lord.

I’m a living witness that I would have been swallowed up by sexual sin. I would have been swallowed up in the gang life. I could’ve gotten taken out when a 3in long, cm thick shard of glass flew through the window of my car and hit my seat nearly slicing my neck open. One night I was at an Albertson’s grocery store and I was rescued from death by about 3 seconds as a car sped through a red light. The Lord had spared me that day. For some reason, I got distracted.

I’m trying to tell you that you can never praise God enough. I wanna let you know that you can’t keep yourself alive. It is nothing but the blood of Jesus that preserves your life. If you are grateful to God and what He’s done in your life then you will praise the Lord in the morning, noon and night!

He’s done more than enough for me. He’s done more than enough for you.

When the devil tries to discourage you, you have to say, “Yes, I will praise the Lord!” When things don’t look so good in your life you say, “Yes, I will praise him!” When all you’ve got is beans and rice to eat, you pray for more, but in the meantime, you eat and say, “Yes, I will praise Lord!”

I know what it’s like to be tested. I know what it’s like to be tempted. I know what it’s like when you just don’t feel like doing what’s right.

In Acts 14:22 the Bible says,

strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.”

Acts 14:22

I also know that the glory is greater. I said, “The glory is greater!”Whatever you’re going through is not worthy take the attention from the hope of the glory you shall receive from God.

In 2 Corinthians 4:17, Paul confirms that declaration.

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;”

2 Corinthians 4:17

No matter what page you’re on in the story of your life, God is worthy of the glory!

Salvation Plan

Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:

God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
