For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
Romans 12:4-5
My calling
Before we started our Live Inspired ministry on our website, Randomnestfamily.org, I thought that I was supposed to be a pastor of a church, but for a long time, I had no clue about what God wanted me to do. Nevertheless, I never gave up on seeking God’s calling for my life and God blessed me with many opportunities to share the gospel.
I found and still find sharing the gospel a faith refreshing experience, especially when people make a decision to follow Jesus. With that said as of yet God has not called me to be a pastor, but to run our ministry with my wife online and to author my first book called, “Behold A Mystery, the Beginning of the End.”
Man, I tell you, this ministry experience has challenged and changed our lives. It has stretched us, but it has also strengthened us. I’m telling you all this because as the Body of Christ we can’t all do the same thing, or else not much would get done.
Romans 12:4-5 tells us that we don’t all have the same function, yet every unique service that God has us do works together to fulfill the complete purpose of God’s church in this world. Don’t think that you’re good for nothing, or that you’re not special because you don’t have the title that “so and so” has. Don’t be afraid to be different in Christ.
Seek God’s ministry for your life through prayer and waiting, prayer and waiting, and studying God’s Word so that you will be equipped to do God’s work when He calls you. It wasn’t a mistake for me to write, “prayer and waiting” twice because frustration can kick in when you don’t know where you fit in with God’s plan. Yet, God’s plan is exactly that, His plan! He will not fail to use you.
Every Christian has one calling in common and that is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is called the great commission because we are Jesus in the world. We are His hand and feet to gather souls for God’s kingdom. So don’t be discouraged. As Christians, we are many members, but one body, and we belong to each other because we are one in Christ. No one is better than the other.
Salvation Plan
Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:
God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Read the Book of John in the Bible. Find out who Christ is, and how He loves you, yes you!
