“And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”Luke 2:7 NKJV
This is a beautiful picture being painted, Jesus, born in a manger, wrapped in swaddling cloths! The other day, we mentioned how Jesus was our perfectly wrapped present. Today, we bring to notice that there was NO room for them in the Inn. Therefore, a stable was all they could afford, and it was offered to them as free. A manger is a long open box or trough for horses or cattle to eat from, usually found in a stable or farmhouse. Since there were no farmhouses back then, you can say our lords first night was with the animals in a stable.
