“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
2 Corinthians 5:17-21
The Living for the Dead
By nature, God was inside of Christ. Literally, God became Jesus, without losing His God nature – the God-Man. Incredible. He became one of us because we couldn’t be Him.
We couldn’t go up to God, so He came down to us, in the powerless form of a baby. Born into sin to die for the sins of the world. Now, at just the right time, those who have believed in Jesus and surrendered our lives to Him, have become ministers of this gospel.
Ambassadors on a Mission
We are called to be ambassadors for Jesus in a lost world. We have put off the old version of ourselves because God has made us a new creation through the body and blood of Christ. We have been upgraded by the Holy Spirit living inside of us.
Lift up your head and stand up straight. Open your eyes and see the field. It is ripe for harvest. God is using Christians to make His appeal to unbelievers so that more souls can be saved. He not only wants us in heaven, but He wants His house full of transformed lives.
We are in a Fight Against the Kingdom of Darkness
God made Jesus who never sinned to become sin so that our sin and our curse would be nailed to the cross and we would become the very righteousness of God. Oh, what a Savior!
People of God we cannot retire. We cannot throw in the towel. We cannot blend in with the culture and cover up the moral standards of God. None of us have a right to do this!
You are a soldier in the army of the Lord and there is an intense battle raging against our faith. This battle is between the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of light. If you haven’t been fighting the good fight of faith, start now. If you have been wrestling against the devil, good. Keep fighting, because this fight ain’t over yet!
As you encounter people and different social environments, remember who you are – the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus. Let us act like it!
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”
Romans 1:16
Salvation Plan
Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:
God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
