Have you ever felt like you missed a blessing, like maybe God’s blessings went right over your head and you have been praying and waiting for them? In today’s Live inspired podcast message, let’s discuss The Truth About Why We Miss Out On God’s Blessings.
how long should we wait on God?
How long is too long?
If we get in the way of God, then we leave no room for him to operate. And if we get ahead of God, then we’re no longer walking in the direction of God’s blessings and what he has prepared for us. We don’t know the proper time and we don’t know how long it should take in order for our prayers to be answered.
We don’t know what God’s plan is. David, he tells us in Psalm 27:13-14:
I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
Psalm 27:13-14
That I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living. 14 Wait[e] on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!
It’s Important NOT To Give Up
It’s important not to give up on waiting for God, because if you give up, how can you possibly think that your doubt will bring about the results of faith? Your faith activates the blessing that God has prepared for you.
Even if God has something for you, but you lose heart and you lose faith in what God can do, guess what? He can’t bring that thing to pass in your life because God looks at the heart and he honors faith.
So today we need to keep the hope alive. Believe in God, trust that His way is right. Believe that His time is right, and know that whatever you ask in prayer, according to God’s will, you will have it.
Salvation Plan
Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:
God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
