In today’s devotional podcast, we will talk about how to experience the joy of meditating on God’s Word.
Oh, the joys of those who do not follow evil men’s advice, who do not hang around with sinners, scoffing at the things of God. 2 But they delight in doing everything God wants them to, and day and night are always meditating on his laws and thinking about ways to follow him more closely. 3 They are like trees along a riverbank bearing luscious fruit each season without fail. Their leaves shall never wither, and all they do shall prosper.”
Psalm 1:2-3 Living Bible
“His delight is in the law of the lord”- our pleasure, should be in studying God’s Word.
To many times, its easy for us to just grab a scripture from here or there, read it, and feel as if we’ve accomplished something.
“In His law He meditates day and night.” –Really meditating on Gods word, requires us to do more than just read it.
Meditating, pondering Gods Word allows us to take a scripture and ask God to reveal what He wants us to take from it.
Lord, what do you want me to know, what are you revealing to me?
Writing it down and saying it helps. When we do this every day, as the psalmist says, our tree produces fruits, results!
And whatever we do shall prosper.
Why?
Because now, we are in Christs good and perfect will. Studying His Word, helps us to live for Him.
Amen.
I want to invite you to know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, if you do not already.

Salvation Plan
Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:
God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
