“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed. 10 For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.”

Different Versions Of The Gospel?
In a world that is moving further and further from the truth, we need God’s word to guide us and ground us in our faith. Everyone seems to have their own version of the gospel, but only the true gospel has the power to save, heal, deliver, and transform lives.
There are so many short videos to scroll through, that if we’re not careful we might be influenced to believe false doctrine. False doctrine comes so close to the truth because it uses some of the truth in the Bible to support unbiblical ideas. People can use scripture all day, but we must be able to compare what we hear to the scriptures so that we can test every spirit and idea to know that they are from God.
The Real Gospel
What is the gospel? The gospel is the fact that we have all fallen short of God’s glory and have become sinners, but God loved us so much that He gave His only Son Jesus to take the punishment for our sins by being crucified on a Roman cross. He was buried and three days later God raised Jesus from the dead. Now all people everywhere are called to repent of our sins, put our faith in Jesus Christ, and declare that He is Lord with our mouths that we may be saved.
Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, a which he bought with his own blood. b 29I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. 30Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. 31So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.
Acts 20:28-31
Some suggest that people can just add Jesus onto their sinful life as fire insurance. Others mix New Age cult doctrine with the gospel, that teaches people to ultimately worship demons to achieve some god level.
The Gospel And False Teachers
Then we have the counterfeit “christianities” like the word of faith churches that preach prosperity gospel, the Mormon Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Church of Christ, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Hebrew Israelites, etc. who teach doctrines of demons that seek to lead people away from the Biblical Christian church and replace it. These are wolves in sheep’s clothing who blend in with the sheep, gain their trust and devour them.
Do not follow after them. Instead of just taking someone else’s word for what the scriptures mean, we must study to show ourselves approved and be able to share the true gospel that is able to save souls. We are in a spiritual war and satan is working overtime to destroy lives and gather souls for hell.
We must not dismiss our faith in Christ to please people, rather in these last days we must be bold in our faith and stand for the truth about Jesus Christ. Paul tells us that anyone who makes up their own gospel and leads others astray, let them be accursed because they work for the devil to do his work. Jesus said, “Let them tie a millstone around their neck and be cast into the sea.” We are not to fellowship with, eat with, or even let such people into our homes (2 John 1:10).
Always be ready with the gospel and live like a Christian so that your light can shine and the world will know who the true followers of Christ really are.
Salvation Plan
Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:
God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
