“So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! 36 Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.
Hebrews 10:35-38
37 “For in just a little while,
the Coming One will come and not delay.
38 And my righteous ones will live by faith.
But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.”
39 But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved.”
Do You Have Confidence?
Are disappointments in your life causing you to lose confidence in the Lord? Is discouragement from what you see happening in the world causing you to become withdrawn from your purpose as a Christian in this world? It’s time to refocus our attention on the point of our faith, to the reason why Jesus has not yet returned for his church. We still have a mission. Our faith is not our own. We find the most satisfaction when we are walking in step with the Holy Spirit, by living what the Bible instructs us to do. There is great reward in confidently trusting in the Lord.
No matter how things may look in the world, or how things may look in our life we must understand that we walk by faith and not by sight. We hope in what we do not see because we know that Jesus is in control. We must have the confidence that He will provide our needs as we seek His kingdom and His righteousness, and that all those things we are concerned about will be taken care of.
What It Takes To Win The Reward
We follow people on social media, but Jesus says, “Follow Me.” Jesus is the answer to all of our troubles and His heart is in His word. We must answer the calling that God has on our lives – share the gospel, show mercy to those in need, and use the gifts that God has given us for His glory. We are not our own.
The Lord Is Coming With Your Reward
Jesus Christ is coming back in a moment and it will be at a time when we least expect Him, so we must be ready! We can’t shrink back into depression, sin, and the cares of this world and neglect God. God finds no pleasure in those who shrink back. That is not who we are.
Let us run the race set before us with patience and endurance to win the great reward waiting for us when our Lord and Savior appears. We want Him to say, “Well done my good and faithful servant. You’ve been faithful over a few things, now I will make you ruler over many.” Let’s be the faithful ones whose souls will be saved because we refused to give up on God.
Salvation Plan
Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:
God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
