How can we possibly live up to God’s standards? Well, the problem is that we tend to rely only on our own human abilities to accomplish this when it is only the power of God through Jesus Christ that completes us to do His will.
“Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21 make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.” Hebrews 13:20-21
We all struggle with this, because it causes stress when we’re not in control of the outcome of our situation and the fruits of our ministry work. Yet, isn’t that the point? When we cast all of our cares on Jesus and simply follow Jesus through the instructions written in His word, we can have peace with God that He will give us good success and get all the glory that belongs to Him.
Jesus is the great Shephard and we are His beloved sheep. He will not allow us to fail if our faith and trust are in Him. He will also not overlook our hard work for His kingdom, but will richly reward us in this life and the next.
God is the God of peace and He gives His peace to those who live for Him and trust in Him. As children of God, we have an obligation, not to the world, but to do what pleases the Father. Yet, we are not alone, because God is working in us and He is all we need.
Salvation Plan
Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:
God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
