“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:56-58
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”
This Thanksgiving no matter what you may be going through, be thankful because God has given you victory through Christ Jesus. He has set you free from the power of darkness through the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, who was slain and whose body was broken for you.
The economy might not be that great and you might not have as much money in your bank account as you want, but if you are living your life for Jesus, then none of your labor is in vain and God watches over the ways of the righteous. He is, “able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we can ask or think.”
Stand Up
God is telling you right now to straighten up your back and resist the crashing waves of this life that are trying to move you from your firm foundation. Ephesians chapter 6 says, “…after having done all to stand, stand firm then…”
I thank God for being able to write this devotion. I thank God for my faith and family. I don’t know the end from the beginning, but I thank God that He does. God knows what He’s doing.
Thanksgiving Is Better This Year
Provided that, our Job as Christians is to work for the Lord faithfully and thankfully, abounding in it to advance the kingdom of God. This place is not our home and 2024 has been crazy, but God has seen us through and we are one year closer to the coming of the Lord, which is the reason why this Thanksgiving is better. The Bible says this:
“And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.”
Romans 13:11
Thank you Jesus, Amen!
Salvation Plan
Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:
God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
