“Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel 28 without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God.”

Philippians 1:27-28

Paul instructs the Philippian church to live holy lives in an unholy land and in terrible times. These Christians were facing persecution because of their faith in Christ. Nevertheless, Paul encouraged them that their suffering was not their end.

In Christ, our enemies are proving that they will be destroyed, because when they stand against us they stand against Christ. Our job is to make sure that our lives are found worthy of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We cannot call ourselves children of God and act like children of the devil. We cannot fool around in secret and let our light shine at the same time.

You are being saved. Don’t give up on doing good, you are almost there. If you have been wasting time and not devoting yourself to God change that today. God is right there waiting for you to surrender your whole self to Him. Jesus loves you!

Stand firm and keep the faith. No evil goes unpunished. God will take care of your enemies.

Salvation Plan

Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:

God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
