“Furious with rage, Nebuchadnezzar summoned Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. So these men were brought before the king, 14 and Nebuchadnezzar said to them, “Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the image of gold I have set up? 15 Now when you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe and all kinds of music, if you are ready to fall down and worship the image I made, very good. But if you do not worship it, you will be thrown immediately into a blazing furnace. Then what god will be able to rescue you from my hand?”
Daniel 3:13-18
16 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”
Hearts On Fire
Faith in the true God will always be an offense because it causes us to say no to the sins that the world loves. It causes the believer to go against the currents of trends, cultural traditions, and even government policies. It attracts haters.
The king wanted these men of God to worship him as a god, but they were empowered by the Holy Spirit. The fire of the Holy Spirit was burning inside their hearts before they were even touched by the flames.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were ready to die for their faith. They exalted God’s ability to deliver them from the king’s threats, over the power of the king’s ability to kill them. They were so confident in God that they didn’t even try to deceive the king in order to escape the furnace.

Seeing Jesus Through Your Enemies
What are you willing to lose for Jesus? When the kitchen gets hot can you stand the heat? When people speak lies about your God will you stand up for what you believe in?
God will sometimes allow you to face persecution so that others can see His works and cause them to consider their own souls. We have to be like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and see through the attacks of the enemy, with our eyes fixed on Jesus. God will get the glory out of your trials.
When you take your spiritual eyes off of Jesus you begin to drown. When you surrender to the plan of Jesus you will receive the crown of life. No matter what these bodies go through, they are merely vessels for God to use for His purpose. These bodies of death will be changed to bodies of glory when Christ comes.
More Haters
God doesn’t need an excuse and He doesn’t need pity. His word does need an apology as a closing statement. No matter what lie the world sets up, whether it be atheism, Catholicism, wokeism, transgenderism, New Ageism, or satanism we can never bow down. We must STAND!
Jesus said,
“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. 20 Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.

Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:
God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
