If you have a child going back to public school or currently in public school, you have a war on your hands. A war that involves outside forces attempting to capture and keep the mind of your child. You are NOT defeated. The enemy is defeated! The world might make us feel like we are already defeated before we begin, but that’s a lie from satan himself. We have the power and the authority given to us by Christ, to defeat this enemy, and it all starts right here, right now, in our homes. (Luke 10:19)

Before starting a Prayer…
Always be consistent in praying with your family. The more you do, the more they look forward to it, the more you grow as a family.
Our kids may be tired, we may be tired; either way, each prayer will be to the point. Yet leaving room for you to add additional prayers or expound upon the scriptures for days, weeks, or even a month.
Prayers can be done day or night. Whenever your family comes together!
Start off small, and then go as the Lord leads you. Don’t always expect things to be perfect. Add effort and allow God to do the rest.
You got this!
Ideally:
Turn off any electronics and distractions as much as possible at least 20-30 minutes before sitting down together.
Week 3
A Family Prayer For Not Giving Up | Day 16
“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Galatians 6:9
Prayer:
Father, we give You praise, for this is the day that You have made!
Lord, help us to not give up, help us to not grow weary of the work we have been given to do.
Help our children to not grow weary of the work You have given to them. When they enter the school, they represent You.
Regardless of what they face today, let them not grow weary. And regardless of what we face as a family, let us not grow weary.
For we know that in due season, we will reap a harvest according to Your timing, if we don’t give up.
Lord, help us set our minds on things above, not things that are on this earth. For we know that our home is in heaven, where we await our savior, our lord Jesus Christ.
For we are not of this world. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
In Jesus Christ holy name, amen.

Colossians 3:2, Philippians 3:20, John 17:16

A Family Prayer For Forgiving Each Other | Day 17
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave You.
Ephesians 4:32
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for forgiving us of our sins. Your word tells us that You are faithful and just to forgive us of all our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, when we confess them to You.
Lord, Your forgiveness renews us and washes us in Your blood.
Help us to also forgive each other. To realize that we all make mistakes, but You love us anyways.
Help us to love each other despite our mistakes. You command us to forgive each other, for Your word says that if we do not forgive others their sins, You will not forgive our sins.
Help us to be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other just as You have forgiven us in Christ.
Lord, help us to move forward despite any hurt we may feel. Give us the strength to forget what happened, just as You forget our sins when we ask for forgiveness.
We pray this in Jesus Name. Amen.
Power Scriptures:
1 John 1:9, Matthew 6:15, Hebrews 8:12
A Family Prayer For Growth | Day 18
And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your lord, you must continue to follow Him. Let Your roots grow down into him, and let Your lives be built on him. Then Your faith will grow strong in the truth You were taught, and You will overflow with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7
Prayer:
Father, we stand before You today asking that You grow our family spiritually.
No matter what comes our way today, no matter what our children might face at school lord,
Help us to be rooted and built up in Jesus. Strengthen our faith and cause us to overflow with thankfulness lord.
There is so much to be thankful for. Give us a desire to grow in You, a desire to read Your word, and know Your laws.
A desire to stand for Your word when the world tells us different.
Help us to work hard so we can present ourselves to You and receive Your approval.
Help us to be workers in Your kingdom, which are not ashamed of the bible, but help us to correctly handle the word of truth, no matter where we go today.
In Jesus Name. Amen.
Power Scriptures:
2 Timothy 2:15
A Family Prayer When Things Get Confusing | Day 19
For god is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. 1 Corinthians 14:33
Prayer:
Lord, we know that You are not the author of confusion.
Yet some confusing situations have entered our household, and we need Your help.
Direct us into the truth of Your word. Let it be a light and guide us in our prayers as we face these situations.
Father, pull down the stronghold of confusion in our lives. Quiet down the confusing voices and situations around us.
Help us to sort out what’s real and what isn’t. Show our family a better way.
Let Your holy spirit guide us out of this situation, so we can let true understanding come into our minds and hearts.
It is written that if we lack wisdom, we should ask You and it will be given. We ask You, in the Name of Jesus, for wisdom, knowledge, and guidance out of this situation.
In Jesus Christ mighty Name, amen!
Power Scriptures:
Psalm 199:105, Hebrews 13:6, James 1:5, John 16:13
A Family Prayer When Prayer Is Hard | Day 20
Always Be Joyful. Always Keep On Praying. No Matter What Happens, Always Be Thankful, For This Is God’s Will For You Who Belong To Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Prayer:
Lord, we are so grateful for this day, but we are finding it hard to pray.
We know that whatever we ask in Jesus Name, You hear us. Thank you.
Lord, help us to focus on You. Fill this place with Your Holy Spirit and guide our prayers today.
Father, in these challenging times, help us to trust You. Remind us that we are overcomers because You first overcame this world.
If our children should struggle in school today, please remind them to be joyful, prayerful, and thankful even in the toughest situations.
Lord, increase our faith! Put the desire to pray back into our hearts.
Help us to realize that it’s not about us, but You see the bigger picture.
And help us to remember to pray for others and not just ourselves.
Lord, remind us that You are with us, even as we are praying right now.
In Jesus Name. Amen!

A Family Prayer When Hope Is Lost | Day 21
May the God of hope fill You with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit You may abound in hope.
Romans 15:13
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, it feels like all hope is lost. Our hearts feel empty, but Lord, You can fill us up again!
We pray that You will hold us fast during this period when all hope is going away.
Father, Your promises are true, and You are with us no matter what we are going through.
In our troubles and trials, our fears and failings, doubts and difficulties, our brokenness, and our bitterness.
Help us to rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
For your Word says, “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
Lord, we maintain our hope in You, knowing that what we are praying for is already done, even though we cannot see it yet.
We love You Lord. You are our strength, our rock, our fortress, and our deliverer. We take refuge in You, our shield and the horn of our salvation, our stronghold.
In Jesus Christ mighty Name. Amen!

A Family Prayer When Angry | Day 22
“In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while You are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.”
Ephesians 4:26-27
Prayer:
Father, some situations have arisen that have caused us to be angry at each other.
But Your Word tells us Lord, to be angry but sin not. Help us to control our reactions to the things that make us angry.
Help us to remember that we all make mistakes, yet, You love us and have shown us what true love is. For You so loved the world, that You died for us.
Lord, in our anger, help us to change our minds from thinking about how to retaliate, to how we can forgive each other and move on from here.
For when we stay stuck in our anger, we allow satan a foothold into our lives. To lie to us and mislead us.
Help us to remember that our anger does not produce the righteousness of God.
Lord, help us to forgive each other so that we may also be forgiven by You. Help us to show mercy and be gracious like You.
Help our children to remember these things as they go about their day at school so that they might be wise in all their dealings.
In Jesus Christ mighty Name, amen!

A Family Prayer For Growing In The Fruits of The Spirit | Day 23
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”
Galatians 5:22-23
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for this day!
Father, help us to grow in the fruits of the spirit.
In every aspect of our life, help us to show love, and have the spirit of peace.
Give us patience as we deal with each other and the outside world of work and school.
Help us show kindness and goodness to those we encounter.
Help us to grow in faithfulness, as we trust and rely on You.
Let our gentleness be evident to all as we encounter situations that would normally anger us.
Lord, let us be filled with self-control when situations arise that make us want to act outside the character of a true Christian.
Finally, Lord, let truthfulness and righteousness be evident in our lives, so we can be a good example to those around us that might not know You.
In Jesus Name we pray. Amen!
