Talent is a gift from God to be used for his glory. In today’s devotion, let’s explore the remarkable vibrant talents god actually gives us.
“Then Moses said to the people of Israel, “See, the Lord has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; 31 and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, 32 to devise artistic designs, to work in gold and silver and bronze, 33 in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, for work in every skilled craft. 34 And he has inspired him to teach, both him and Oholiab the son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan. 35 He has filled them with skill to do every sort of work done by an engraver or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of workman or skilled designer.”
Why we have Talents.
God has given us talents for a specific purpose. We may not always know this purpose, but our job is to use our talents to glorify God and to share the message of the gospel.
The Remarkable Vibrant Talents God Actually Gives Us
Romans 12:6-8 calls our talents gifts that are God’s design for us to contribute to the church, the body of Christ, and doing good things with, all apart of fulfilling the plans of God.
“6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; 7 if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; 8 the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads,[f] with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.”
Using Our Remarkable Vibrant Talents
When God gives us skills, talents, and gifts, He helps us use them. He shows us that we can do things we didn’t think was possible when we use our gifts correctly and give glory to God. He doesn’t force us but shows us how blessed we can be when we surrender our whole self to Him and His will for our life.
What are you asking God?
What are you asking of God in your life, and how are you using the talents God has given you? Are you willing to allow Him to have glory from the skills, talents, and gifts, he has given to you?
We should use our talents to bless those around us, remembering that our unique talents are not accidental—they are part of a greater purpose. We should embrace them, develop them, and use them to glorify Christ and to make a difference in the world!
“10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace…” 1 Peter 4:10
Salvation Plan
Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:
God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
