God Knows My Heart!
The words “God knows my heart,” is usually used when people have a desire to do something outside the will of God, contrary to popular thought. In today’s live inspired podcast, we will explore the unsurpassed disastrous words of “God knows my heart.”
Unsurpassed and Disastrous Words
We’ve all gotten pretty used to hearing and even some of us using the old saying, “God knows my heart!”
Don’t excuse yourself by saying, “Look, we didn’t know.” For God understands all hearts, and he sees you. He who guards your soul knows you knew. He will repay all people as their actions deserve.
Proverbs 24:12
The Bible tells us in this verse that this saying is true, but not in the way that many people think, and not in the way people desire to understand this truth. Nothing is hidden from God.
No matter how good you are at “hide and go seek”, God is right there behind you saying, “Here I am!”. God knows, when we get it right and when we get it wrong and try to justify it – we are rewarded for both. If you do good you receive God’s blessings – if you’re in Christ. If you disobey His word, you receive the:
consequences and repercussions

No, seriously, God disciplines the ones whom He loves – Hebrews 12:6. The bible says,
Do not be deceived. God is not mocked. Whatever you sow you will also reap”
Galatians 6:7
It’s crucial to understand that the Scriptures reveal our hearts to be misleading and prone to sin. Rather than concentrating only on the fact that God is aware of our hearts, our effort should be to comprehend and align with His will.
We Have Deceitful Hearts:
The Bible tells us that our hearts are deceitful (Jeremiah 17:9) and can even condemn us (1 John 3:20). Our hearts are the very reason we sin.
We Need To Know God’s Heart:
Rather than relying solely on our hearts, we need to understand God’s heart. He loves us despite our sinful nature and sent His Son to die for us. Knowing His heart compels us to follow His commands (1 John 2:5-6).
Our Belief Affects Our Behavior:
Our level of belief affects our behavior. When we believe God’s love and purpose for us, we follow Him. Lack of faith leads us away from God.
God also understands us and our weaknesses and so the bible says,
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9
The application of today, is to not use, “God knows my heart!” as an excuse, but as a reason: a reason to hope, a reason to believe, a reason to pray, a reason to not fear, a reason to love others, and a reason to obey God’s word. God knows the truth about us, because He is the Truth!
Salvation Plan
Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:
God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
