The irresistibility of these “Fall off the bone”, oven baked ribs, keeps my family coming back for more. The flavors in this recipe never miss a note and the meat refuses to cling to the rib bone.

After the BBQ sauce has been slathered on and caramelized in the broiler, the family’s already running into the kitchen to try and get a plate.

We sometimes serve these with our homemade delicious yeast rolls.

It will have you running to the grocery store to snatch up a pack of ribs.

I think it’s safe to say that this is the only rib recipe that you will ever need!

Let us know in the comments how your ribs turned out and if you need anymore tips. Now, let’s get cooking!

Easy “Fall Off the Bone” Oven Baked BBQ Ribs

Irresistibly delicious, easy to make, “Fall Off The Bone” ribs that never disappoint!

  • 1 Slab Ribs (multiply this recipe for multiple slabs)
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar (Even lower calories, only season and sauce afterwards and leave out the brown sugar, but the taste will be different. This will just make the ribs less sweet.)
  • 2 tbsp Seasoning Salt (Season to evenly spread on both sides of the rib slab. )
  • 2 tbsp Onion Powder (Evenly coat)
  • 2 tbsp Garlic Powder (Evenly coat)
  • Paprika (*Optional! Sprinkle on both sides for color)
  • Cayenne Pepper (*Optional! Sprinkle on both sides for a little more spice)
  • 1/2 Cup Lemon Juice (Marinade)
  • Favorite BBQ Sauce (*Brush this on at the end)
  1. Rinse off rib slab/s to remove any bone fragments (not fun to eat) and very important, remove clear membrane off of the bone side of the ribs. (Ribs will be tough if you don’t. Been there)

  2. In a bowl mix together brown sugar and seasonings to form a rub mixture.

  3. Place slab/s in the foil pan face down and pour the lemon juice over the slab/s. This will ensure the meat side of the ribs get marinated properly.

  4. Begin to rub the rub mixture, evenly on both sides, or if you’re skipping the brown sugar sprinkle your seasonings evenly on both sides. Feel free to use a little more seasonings if necessary.

  5. Cover with foil and place in the refrigerator for 1 to 8 hours, depending on how much time you have (30 mins if running late).

This allows for the lemon juice to break down the proteins in the meat and soak in the flavor of the seasonings.

  6. After marinating, preheat oven to 275°F, no more than 300°F for faster baking (takes off about 30 minute to an hour of cook time at 300° F, but I shoot for the best results).

  7. Place ribs in the oven for 3 hours then check. If the meat has begun to shrink away from the bone then the ribs are ready to be sauced. Use a fork to check for the looseness of the meat.

*Do not attempt to throw the ribs on the grill at this point it will be a disaster. *If you want to finish on the grill cut baking time in half, then do it (not necessary).

  8. Begin to pour BBQ sauce on both sides of the slab/s and brush the sauce on smooth with basting brush.

  9. Turn on Broiler and place the ribs in for about 2 to 3 minutes on both sides to caramelize the sauce

  10. Finally, use the food scissors to cut ribs into sections or individually, it’s up to you.

Serve with you families favorite sides.

We made homemade Yeast rolls and mac n’ cheese.

That’s it! Now, enjoy these ribs in all of their deliciousness!

Turn on the oven, its almost dinner time!
