Are You Satisfied?

What have we done so far that can stand out before our Lord? All of our earthly possessions mean nothing when we are not using them to glorify God. Got a promotion? Great. New job? Good. All these things get burned up and don’t last. In fact, nothing is taken with you when you die. Only what we do for Christ will last.

If today were our last, would we truthfully be proud of what we have accomplished in life? Can we say as Paul said,

I have fought long and hard for my Lord, and through it all I have kept true to him. And now the time has come for me to stop fighting and rest. In heaven a crown is waiting for me, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that great day of his return.” Yes, and this crown awaits all of us who whose lives show that we are eagerly looking forward to Christ coming back again.

2 Tim 4:7-8

Keep Your Lamps Burning

If we feel as if we could have done more – we still can. While tomorrow isn’t promised to any of us, living means more opportunities for Christ, what can you do today? Each and every day given to you, is an opportunity to let your light shine, showing Gods love to all; to encourage, and strengthen someone in God’s Word. (Phil1:21)

Don’t let your light grow dim. Don’t let the world and its worries put blinders on you, and don’t walk about as if you are in a maze; confused, rendered in fear and worry. Remember what the Word of God says about fear, and worry. And if we don’t know, it’s time to get busy reading and studying Gods Word for ourselves.

Are You Martha, or Mary?

Don’t let Jesus be in your very presence, yet refuse to walk in His Spirit.

Martha welcomed Jesus into her home, making Him feel comfortable. “She had a sister, Mary, who sat before the Master, hanging on every word he said. But Martha was pulled away by all she had to do in the kitchen.”

Later, she stepped in, interrupting them, “Master, don’t you care that my sister has abandoned the kitchen to me? Tell her to lend me a hand. ‘The Master said, ‘Martha, dear Martha, you’re fussing far too much and getting yourself worked up over nothing. One thing only is essential, and Mary has chosen it—it’s the main course, and won’t be taken from her.” (Luke 10:38-42)

Are we fussing too much and getting ourselves worked up over nothing? With so many distractions in our lives, let’s not miss the mark. Let’s make every effort to put Christ first, it’s that one thing that’s essential to life, we must choose it – like Mary. It tastes better and will make us happier.

Open up! Love on someone you haven’t before. Don’t worry about what others think about you. Die to self and live for Christ only. Allow Gods light to shine through you.

Let go of your distractions.

Salvation Plan

Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:

God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
