We can be devoted to so many things in this life, that God’s Word just gets lower on this list. God’s Word (John 1:1) should always be first in our lives, and we should devote ourselves to the study of His word (Bible). This means we should be zealous, loyal, and dedicated to the reading of His Word. This commitment shows our love for God. Listed are 10 devoted ways to focus on God’s Word.
#1: Walk In Harmony With The Word
Blessed are those whose ways are blameless,
who walk according to the law of the Lord… they do no wrong
but follow his ways. Psalm 119:1,3 NIV
#2: Keep Its Commands | Being Devoted
Remove from me reproach and contempt, For I have kept Your testimonies… I remember Your name in the night, O Lord,
And I keep Your law…This has become mine,
Because I kept Your precepts. I made haste, and did not delay
To keep Your commandments… Before I was afflicted I went astray,
But now I keep Your word. Psalms 119:22, 55, 56, 60, 67 NKJV
#3: Long To Obey The Word
Oh, that my ways were steadfast
in obeying your decrees! My soul is consumed with longing
for your laws at all times… My eyes fail, looking for your salvation,
looking for your righteous promise… I open my mouth and pant,
longing for your commands. Psalms 119:5, 20, 123, 131 NIV
#4: Contemplate The Word
I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. Psalms 119:15 NIV
#5: Learn God’s Word | Being Devoted
I will praise you with an upright heart
as I learn your righteous laws. Psalm 119:7 NIV
#6: Pray, To Be Faithful To God’s Word.
I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands… Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me. Psalms 119:10, 133 NIV
#7 Hide It In Your Heart
I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you… Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Psalms 119:11 NIV, Colossians 3:16 ESV
#8 Preach The Word!
With my lips I declare all the rules[c] of your mouth… When I told of my ways, you answered me; teach me your statutes! I will also speak of your testimonies before kings
and shall not be put to shame… Psalms 119:13, 26, 46 ESV
#9 Rejoice In It.
In the way of your testimonies I delight as much as in all riches… I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word… Your testimonies are my delight;
they are my counselors… for I find my delight in your commandments,
which I love… their heart is unfeeling like fat,
but I delight in your law… Let your mercy come to me, that I may live;
for your law is my delight. Psalms 119:14, 16, 24, 47, 70, 77 ESV
#10 Make It A Lamp And Light To You
Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path… The unfolding of your words gives light;
it imparts understanding to the simple.
I open my mouth and pant,
because I long for your commandments. Psalms 119:105, 130-131 ESV

Salvation Plan
Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:
God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
