A Special Prayer To Know The Power of The Resurrection | Randomnestfamily.org

Part 2

As we think about what Jesus did on the cross, and the reasons why we celebrate His Resurrection, we need to prepare our hearts. Besides the Lord’s birth, this is one of the most pivotal celebrations we will ever celebrate in our Christian faith, because Jesus didn’t just die, but He Rose and defeated death and the sting of sin! So, join us today with A Special Prayer To Know The Power of The Resurrection.

Focus Scripture

Today’s focus scripture for this prayer:

“4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he[b] predestined us for adoption to sonship[c] through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.” Ephesians 1:4-6 NIV

Prayer:

[1]Father, forgive me if I have fallen short of Your glory. Forgive me, Lord, if I have [2]denied You in any area of my life. [3]Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me Lord.
[4]Before the world began You prepared a way for us to be saved from sin. You didn’t leave us without hope, but even though You knew we would mess up Your original plan, You made sure death would not be the end of our story.
Hundreds of years beforehand You spoke through Your prophets about Your promised Messiah and wrestled with the nation of Israel, You chose for Your own, so that people of all nations could be saved.
Then Jesus, You showed up and [5]made Yourself a Servant, even though you are God. You humbled Yourself to show us that You know the ins and outs of our humanity and that You care about our troubles. [6]You lived the perfect life I could never live and suffered rejection, humiliation, false accusation, betrayal, torture, mockery, and an excruciating death, for a sinner like me.
[7]Yet, You gave me the right to be called a child of God. Lord, I don’t deserve You, but I thank You for making me worthy. I thank You Jesus for [8]laying down Your life for me and showing me how to be a real friend. You’re the only One Who could, because [9]three days later You could raise it up again.
Teach me how to lay down my life in the ways You desire me to. I want to know You Jesus and the [10]power of Your resurrection, so that I may share in the fellowship of Your sufferings, by [11]enduring to the end. Empower me by Your Holy Spirit to live a resurrected life in an increasingly evil world.
Give me Christ’s perseverance to guide my family and others to the salvation You paid for with your body and blood, so that Your [12]house will be filled with redeemed people. Continue to reassure me of [13]Your love and grace as I wrestle with the flesh and [14]fight the good fight of faith.
Lord, thank You for loving me. Help me to love You with my life. In Jesus name, Amen!

Have You Received Salvation?

God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
