For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. 22 If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! 23 I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far;

Philippians 1:21-23

I’m sure, at times, Noah asked himself that very question, living in a world so bad God had to flood it with water. As we continue to see the world getting godless and wicked than ever before shouldn’t it draw us closer to God? Shouldn’t these end-times-conditions drive us into action for Jesus Christ, to win more souls through the gospel?

Why are we still here? Ask yourself that question today. In our scripture, Paul said, “For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Our purpose here on earth is to bring a living Jesus to a dying world. No, it’s not to get all the degrees we can possibly get to have the best career. That’s great, but all of that precious time, many times, is being wasted to study subjects that have nothing to do with God and it brings nobody closer to Jesus on our part.

How much more money do we need to make? How much more fun do we need to have, to finally be able to say, “Now I got it all out of my system and I’m ready to live for Jesus.” Time is running out for this world and for us as Christians.

Jesus is getting ready to wrap things up and I hope you can see it because it’s not a coincidence that society is looking more and more demonic and pushing Christianity out. God has allowed this so that sin can be judged and evil can be done away with once and for all.

So let us focus our attention, our desires, and our plans on Jesus. Make your life on earth count in heaven, by living a holy life, doing the will of God, and longing to be with Jesus in heaven, which is, “…far better.” Remember that the suffering we face on earth cannot compare to the glory we shall receive in heaven.

Salvation Plan

Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:

God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
