Being intentional about what we do for Christ is very important as a Christian. Our Bible study, fellowship, and devotional times with our family must be done with great intention. When we focus on intentionality, we can do things wholeheartedly, which means doing it with complete sincerity, enthusiasm, and commitment. It means putting your heart and soul into whatever you’re doing, without holding anything back. Here are 7 private and practical things done wholeheartedly as a Christian.
#1: Seek God
Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart—they do no wrong but follow his ways.…I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. Psalms 119:2-3, 10 NIV
All Judah rejoiced about the oath because they had sworn it wholeheartedly. They sought God eagerly, and he was found by them. So the Lord gave them rest on every side. 2 Chronicles 15:15 NIV
#2: Praise God
I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. Psalm 9:1 NIV
Praise the Lord. I will extol the Lord with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly. Psalm 111:1 NIV
#3: Observe The Truth
Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law and obey it with all my heart. Psalm 119:34 NIV
#4: Entreat God’s Favor
I have sought your face with all my heart; be gracious to me according to your promise. Psalm 119:58 NIV
#5: Keep Commandments
Though the arrogant have smeared me with lies, I keep your precepts with all my heart. Psalm 119:69 NIV
#6 Cry Out To God
I call with all my heart; answer me, Lord, and I will obey your decrees. Psalm 119:145 NIV
#7 Stop Backsliding And Return To God
I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart. Jeremiah 24:7 NIV
Salvation Plan
Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:
God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
