Part 1
Resurrection Day is almost here. As we start to think about what Jesus did on the cross, and the reasons why we celebrate the Easter week leading up to Resurrection Day, we need to prepare our hearts. Besides the Lords birth, this is one of the most pivotal celebrations we will ever celebrate in our Christian faith, because Jesus didn’t just die, but He Rose and defeated death and the sting of sin! So, join us today with a special prayer to prep your heart for Easter’s gift.
Focus Scripture
Today’s focus scripture for this prayer:
“Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139:23-24
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
[1]Prepare my heart for this season in my life. Help me to complete the tasks you have given me, just as you did as you set out to Jerusalem to die for me.
Father guide me along the paths that You have set out for me, help me when I fall and have [2]compassion on me, as I ask for your forgiveness, just as you had compassion on me before.
Lord, I [3]praise You, for you gave [4]Your life for mine. An innocent man for a sinner now covered in [5]righteousness because of You. Thank you, Jesus, You paid the ultimate price so that I could live today.
Help me to faithfully praise Your Holy Name and tell others what this Easter Season is all about. Lord help me to [6]serve others just as you came to serve us. Help me to consider others before myself.
Lord, please help me to [7]allow Your will to be done in my life. Not my will, but Your will. Help me to navigate any hardships I am going through with you at my side. For You are always with me.
Lord, as I prepare my heart for this Easter, let me not forget all that Your death and resurrection offers me and my family. [8]Thank you for Your obedience to the Father’s will, for You, being found in the appearance of a man, humbled Yourself by becoming obedient to death -even the death on the cross. You did this all for us!
Thank You Father, my Lord and Savior.
In Jesus Christ name I pray, amen!
Have You Received Salvation?
If you are here and you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you are not here by accident. I believe the Lord brought you here so you too can have your sins forgiven and your slate wiped clean. You also have the chance to accept Christ as your Lord and savior and receive the new life God has planned for you.
Salvation Plan
Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:
God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

[5] Righteousness means to be right with God. God wants people righteous to the core of their beings. Anything short of this is not God’s design. When we believe in Christ, we are given the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 3:21; Romans 4:25; Romans 6:18)
