Salt of the earth image @randomnestfamily

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Matthew 5:13-16

This is a challenge to live only for God.

The events of chaos, in this world has changed many Christians. Many are falling away from the faith, and many are simply walking away.

Jesus says, “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.” (Matthew 24:12-13)

The World Is Cold

If we look around us, it really doesn’t take long to see that the love of most has grown cold. In fact, the world is growing cold. For many years, people have separated themselves from others, for whatever reason. Now we also see government separating people, and inciting violence.

It doesn’t mean WE give up!

The battle and the war is not over until Jesus calls us up to Him. So why are many giving up already?

We have been challenged!

Why? because this is where the rubber meets the road. We will be tested beyond our limits with people and situations, and still must let our light shine. You might feel as if everyone or everything is coming up against you, remember, the Lord calls for us to be STRONG, BRAVE, and COURAGEOUS. Joshua 1:6-7

Jesus calls us the “salt of the earth,” the “light of the world.” We are not to lose our saltiness, or we are worthless, and our lights are never to be hidden.

You just might be the only way those around you will see Christ. So let the Holy Sprit shine bright for ALL the world to see Christ in us.

Salvation Plan

Today, if you have not received Salvation or you would like to rededicate your life back to Christ, say this prayer:

God, I know that I am a sinner. Right now, Lord, I turn from my sins, and I ask you to forgive me. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross and rose from the grave, for me. I open my heart and life for You to come in, and I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, God for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
